Newbie questions

Trying to prep for travel. AS on order.
1. Is there a 5 gal water can out there that is conducive to topping off fresh water tank periodically that has the hose end adapter?? I'm thinking the only fill point is the hose hookup. (Water hook-up is not available)
2. When pulling/traveling is the refrigerator cooling via LP?
3. Any thoughts on the rear cameras for the AS. Brand?
4. When solely running off batteries, basically one can only expect to use a light or two and the TV/radio? At this point is the fridge on battery power or LP.
Just trying to get as knowledgeable as possible before AS arrives and retirement begins. Sure I'll most likely have more questions in the future.
Dave

1. Short answer is no, but many choose to buy an inexpensive 12 volt water pump (Harbor Freight has) and transfer water from a large container.

2. Technically, many states prohibit this practice. Realistically, most use LP to cool in transit.

3. Using the search function on this forum, you'll find many discussions on this subject.

4. In boon docking mode, the fridge uses LP.

Keep in mind that to be self contained, in boon docking mode, the main power system will be 12v. Only the outlets, AC, microwave are 110v. You must be plugged in to shore power or use a generator for them to function.

Lights, water pump, furnace fan, all 12v. Frig runs on propane but also needs 12v to operate it's control board. An inverter would let you watch TV. Some of the new trailers may have a built in inverter.

How long the batts last depends on how much 12v you use. Lights are minimal, furnace fan uses lots.

I have a 6gal plastic container with a nozzle that works fine to replenish our water tank. They are available just about anywhere. We use propane to run the refer when traveling. Our GR29 battery can go 3-5 days when boondocking but we have purchased a Honda genny to recharge it or run the micro.

Appreciate the responses. Honda generator on the short list now. Still learning to navigate this forum. Will investigate the search option. Is there just the one fresh tank fill port (I imagine).

John, I would like to speak with you about ordering a 5-hole flag holder from you when you have time. I sent you an email with my phone number. Thanks, Archie.
