Its not the airstream that gets you into these parks, its the fact that they figure you have lots of money to spend there! Think about it!

If you want a small single axle Airstream get a Bambi or Sport.

I thought it was the condition of the trailer and that the style has basically been the same since 1995 so you can’t really tell if it is 10 years old or 20 years old.

This is what I'm thinking, the iconic Airstream. Some RV resorts are so snooty that they won't accept older RVs. My cousin was turned down at 2 parks because they had a 13 year old unit, a very nice one at that.It was not an Airstream. Yall may laugh but at our age I want to make one purchase and be happy with it.

...but snooty enough to accept beautiful old timeless classic RV’s...
The rule is to keep out sob trailers with delaminting walls and covered in tree sap and moss...
They let Bluebird Wanderlodge motorhomes in, too.

Most likely, if your trailer (whatever brand/model it is) looks relatively new, they won't care how old it is. As long as your trailer looks good enough to be claimed as less than 10 years old (or is a vintage Airstream in beautiful condition), they won't care if you lie to them. We prefer to avoid snooty RV parks and focus on city/county/state/national parks where we have more fun camping, but I know that sometimes a snooty RV park is where you need to be. Anyhow, that's how to get in: keep it looking no more than 10 years old on the outside, the newer it looks, the better.

As m.hony said, if it's delaminated, faded, rusted, stained by sap / moss / algae / bird poo, or held together with silicone goo and duct tape, best to camp elsewhere, because that's what they hate. Their age rules are there to "maintain appearances," "keep out the riff-raff," and are explicitly aimed at keeping out folks who are at the end of their financial ropes, trying desperately to make a go of it in their RV when all else has failed.

So, let's get back to chatting about Airstream's new "egg" trailer. Can't wait to see one in person!

Can you (or anyome else) tell how old a Scamp or Casita is? It is easy to repaint one and slap a new set of decals on either... and they can pass easy as pie.

I agree that most owners just don't want ones that are falling.apart... or might end up being abandoned on the lot. Most RV campgrounds that have seasonal and year round rates have to.deal with this issue..
AND with the residents who start adding on... decks, sheds, and then 3 or 4 successive grills. Their failure to edit and remove obsolete stuff becomes a real issue. I spent time this summer in a camp where one rule was NO more than 7 lawn ornaments allowed. Thought ot was dumb until I saw a tiny lot almost paved in lawn gnomes....

Eviction proceedings were at 3 month mark before two pickup trucks arrived to help remove the lawn crap.

I only remember one CG, near Bend, Oregon, that had a ten year rule. Our trailer was only a few years old at that time, so it was no problem. The person at the adjoining campsite had to remove his truck camper from the truck because you couldn't park a truck on one part of the site and a camper on the other part, so they had to be separate. That is worse than snobbery, it is snobbery compounded by rigidity (they often go together). It was the only place we could find to camp that evening, so we just paid up (a lot) and ignored them otherwise.

We saw a Basecamp in Crested Butte last year. It was bigger than the original BC and even uglier. So far, I have not seen another one and hope not to. Since I haven't been keeping up with Airstream news, I don't know if they have sold many. I recall seeing a thread about the possibility of a new MH, but am ignorant on that too.
