New camp chair

I am looking for a new camp chair to replace our Strongback Chair. I liked the chair however it did not hold up well as the bolts rushed. So it had to be thrown away.

I am looking for one similar to the Strongback chair as I liked the back support. I have also read the thread Camp Chair Mulling but did not see anything that would meet my needs.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Make the rounds and try them as you find them. One persons comfortable chair may not be suitable for another person.

So it sounds like you would need to be willing to buy them, without sitting in them, and then return them if the don't suit your needs.

Maybe if you went back onto the camp chairs mulling thread and described your physical body type, your sitting style, any physical impairments, price point somebody would recommend a couple chairs based on that information.

I have some back issues and would not buy a chair I couldn't sit in.

After following that chair thread I was coveting a Kermit Chair but was held up on the price point and it's comfort. In our travels last year we met a couple who had Kermit chairs and I got to sit in it and try it out.

I decided to purchase a new Strongback chair. As I said in my first thread I really liked them, however, that is not the reason I bought them. It is because of their customer service. About three weeks ago I received an email from them asking for feedback on the chair. So I gave them my honest opinion ( I did not write one before as the chair was out of warranty). I was very surprised when they got back to me. They asked me what happen I told them but did not have pictures to send them as the chair was long gone. She apologized and said although she could not honor the warranty she gave me a very good discount on a new chair. It recently came and I can tell you IMO it is still one of the most comfortable chairs we own.

We also have a kermit chair that we like however our three year old granddaughter has take it over as it fits her perfect without the leg extensions.

Anyway I just thought I would mention how pleased I was with Strongback's customer service. They could have blown me off but did not.

I was glad to see you purchased another Strongback, that's the chair I was going to recommend. I have back issues and nothing else compares

In addition to the Camp Chair mulling thread you mentioned:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f483...ng-120940.html

. . . here a couple of others for everyone's consideration:

Best folding chairs: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f48/...rs-162303.html
Lounge chairs: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f483...rs-154527.html
Chairs incl. Strongback mentions: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f42/chairs-139958.html
Kermit chairs: https://www.google.com/search?q=kerm...=airforums.com

Lastly, using the blue search box above for "Strongback":

Good luck!
