I've always loved New Belgium and this cements it.
Those of you who can't find it locally need to pack up your Airstreams and join us out here in CO! Wouldn't they be surprised if a caravan showed up in Ft. C. and encircled the factory!

Not the boxes, but the bottles.. Christmas lights inside bottle - should make a nice little light to go on the ledge by the door in our sovereign.
Can't wait to see what ideas you all post!

I was thinking that it would be cool to use the bottle labels to cover a tray and then cover with poly :-)

Score, We have Accumulation. Guy at register asked if it was good beer. Said it was getting good reviews and I was buying based on the Airstream on package. Silly Airstream owners.

They look great. Not sure what I will do with mine yet. Wonder if the folks at Belgium have been seeing the fun and enthusiasm over here. I am taking some beer to a rally, think we'll soak all the labels off after and use them too. Thanks for the inspiration. Regards

Looks like our temperature up here might get to around 45F tomorrow so I'll be out in the garage brewing!
Probably be my last brew for the season - I don't enjoy doing it so much when it's too cold out, although the garage does warm up with the big propane burners going, but I do have to keep the garage doors open to ensure adequate ventilation!
I've been brewing a few batches lately to stock up for winter and adding this last batch will ensure I have all my kegs filled before the holiday season!
That will see me through the winter and there should hopefully be still some left for next Spring when we get home from our annual snowbird trip and I can get to brewing again!
Tomorrow's planned brew will be an "ESB" (Extra Special Bitter) one of my favorite British beer styles!

No Airstreams, but if you are ever in Moriarty NM on Rt 66 stop in at a microbrewery called Sierra Blanca. My fav is Alien Amber Stout which has a label with an alien skull.
In Moab, Utah I bought a 6 pack or Polygamy Porter. The beer's motto is "you can't only have one".
In Mt. Hood Oregon they serve Guiness floats. Guiness stout with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

I do 5 gal batches on an electric stove top. Seems to work just fine, just slower than propane.
I have gone to mostly grain recipes with honey as main sugar source.
So how are you brewing? 15 gal batches? All grain? Liquid malt?

Hi Silverflames,
I brew five gallon batches using all grain. I buy the base malt in 55 pound bags and mill it just before brewing to keep things as fresh as possible.
For hops, I mostly use hop pellets, but I did start growing hops up the side of the house and have just started brewing with them. (Cascade and Zeus hops).
I use a ten gallon igloo cooler as a mash tun.
I brew mostly pale ales and IPA's (both US and UK styles) and sometimes a brown ale or a porter.
It is a great hobby isn't it !?
I've only been at it a couple of years. Many years back (in the seventies) I did try making beer with extracts but did not care for it at all and gave it up add a bad job!
I seem to be having much better success with all-grain brewing, and now find that I prefer my own brews to any that I can buy!
Brian.

I just picked up 2 - 6 packs at Raley's in Placerville. That was all that they had. I had been checking the New Belgium web site to see just when it would arrive in our part of northern Cal. They shoed no sources but I kept looking. Now to light a fire in the fireplace and enjoy.

I made a try once brewing beer. It was fun making several batches but it wasn't that good, sorta skunky. I drank the stuff anyway. I still have some of my equipment. Perhaps I will try again sometime. In the meantime I am drinking some mighty fine craft beers. There is an explosion of new small breweries in my area. I have a good supply Accumulation in the frig at this moment. I plan on drinking one tonight.
