Being hop harvest season and living in the absolute micro-brew mecca (and there is no fantastic beer that isn't micro, sorry), I am pretty obsessed with all of the fresh hop beers right now. Each time I hit my local shop I grab one of every fresh hop that I haven't had yet, hard to say which one is my favorite as they are all really different and special in their own way. Of course it wouldn't do much good to tell you which ones are my favorite, as they aren't widely distributed...my absolute favorite beers aren't usually available outside of the state or region.

One of my favorites along I-90 in the West is Wallace RV Park in Wallace Idaho. It is an RV park with a brewpub, or vice versa. No risk driving to your RV after a night of beers. Just stumble home. However, not open in the winter. wallacervpark.com

"Piney the Elder" Double IPA by Russian River Brewing Co...like golden nectar. While it's hard to find, it's worth the search. I pray they were spared in the Santa Rosa, CA fire.

I used to be a 10 Barrel drinker, but I can't reward Anheuser Busch with any revenue when there are so many fantastic independent breweries out there. Elysian and 10B are both entirely of my rotation, really anyone that likes actual craft beer should avoid contributing any $$ to the AB-InBev empire. They have some truly atrocious business practices and harm consumer choice.

I love hitting breweries while road-tripping so much, I made a series of Google Maps for Florida:

East Florida: http://goo.gl/maps/uVm3W
West Florida: http://goo.gl/maps/0FSVo
Miami-Dade: http://goo.gl/maps/DyDht
Broward: http://goo.gl/maps/dirvD
Palm Beach: http://goo.gl/maps/Wugt3

Good restaurants in there, as well.

I'm a home brewer, and use the CarbaCap Carbonation System to fill 1/2 liter bottles and keep them perfect for enjoyment in camp.

I only like Pilsner style beer anymore, prefer imported if available and fresh. Crisp, bubbly and definitely not hoppy. I went through the early 90s over hopped craziness with the silly late 60's rock and roll band names like the Electric Banana Dog Poop. Back to Miller now most of the time which is available everywhere. Yuengling lager from time to time. But if I am out of beer I'll try anything you have.

Absolutely best in Oregon "Full Sail Brewing Co" Hood River, Oregon.

Uncle Bob, you forgot Pennsylvania's second oldest (1872) brewery! "STRAUB Brewery" in St. Mary's, Pa. Home of the "Eternal Tap." All natural beer with no preservatives. The brewery has a side door where visitors are welcome to help themselves to two complimentary beers from the Eternal Tap.

Grand Rapids MI is "Beer City USA". We have more than 60 breweries in our local area.

The Brewsader Passport is a fun book that you get stamped when you visit each brewery.

We're headed to Shenandoah this weekend - I'll add this to our agenda for sure! We love beer and checking out local microbreweries.

Yeah but you can buy it before noon. I prefer Bell's Two Hearted.

Pedernales Brewing Company

There are many fine breweries in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. My favorite one lately is the Robert Earl Keen Honey Pils from Pedernales Brewing Company in Fredericksburg: http://www.pedernalesbrewing.com/

I have clone of "Bell's Two Hearted Ale" on tap at my home - in fact, I'm drinking a pint as I type!

Bell's won the "AHA" Best Craft brew of the year this year, as you probably know!
