New Airstreams
Took a drive over to the local Airstream dealership today. Almost wished I had stayed home. They had several 2016 Bambis in stock and a large number of 2015. Beautiful trailers inside and out but some of the most uncomfortable seating. Horrible things. First order of business would be to rip them out and put in comfortable recliners. I was very impressed with the wood choices and over all fit and finish. Waiting patiently for the new layout 26U. It is a very impressive and comfortable looking model with what appears to be upgraded seating thruout. Still going to be a few months before Airstream gets back up to full and increased production levels after the expansion according to the manager but smaller 2016 models are rolling out the door and hitting showrooms.

We changed the foam in our cushions (kept the fabric) and the comfort level went up 200%! I'd still like to get some recliners, but the boss says no.

Send her on a vacation by herself. When she gets home you can surprise her with the new seating.

Please share your resource for upgrade of cushions. Thank you,

Allyson, I'll send you a PM with the name of an upholstery shop in Albuquerque that advertises 24-hour turn around on cushion replacement. I'd encourage you to visit them on your next trip into ABQ. I went there when I was looking at Sunbrella fabric choices for our awnings and noticed the material they use for cushions-- it seemed like a major improvement over the standard issue cushion filler. I anticipate replacing ours in the near future!

I would also be interested in the Albuquerque shop for future reference. We are planning on moving back to NM later this year and this is something that we need to upgrade.
thanks

We have a 2015 19' Flying Cloud and are happy with the seating. If we want to recline with a good book, we just stack the head of the bed with a lot of pillows. We use the dinette table a lot for eating, food prep, and a computer desk.
