New Airstreamer In SoCal Could Use Some Assistance.

I have recently purchased a 1973 Ambassador and am totally new to RVs. I was wondering if there might be a fellow Airstreamer in the neighbourhood of Fallbrook, CA who might be able to spend a half hour with me to show me some of the ropes on operating the various systems on my AS? I'm here on vacation for the next two weeks, living out of my Ambassador, and am trying to figure things out without breaking anything any more than it already might be.

Thanks!

Vic

If you don't find someone nearby, you might try posting some specific questions in new threads with specific titles.

There is a lot of wisdom on this board and lots of people are willing to help where they can. A specific thread title like "How do I drain the black tank?" or "How level does my fridge need to be?" can give potentially helpful people a reason to look more closely at your thread.

Yes, I've been going through the forums quite extensively. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but hands-on experience is worth a thousand pictures.

What I would really like is an experienced AS person to physically show me where things are to get things operating on my specific trailer.

I have an original, so-called "Operators" manual from Airstream. To my chagrin, I found it to be so vague and non-specific that it is virtually useless in explaining the operation of some of the systems!
