Need help ballparking the value of a 1963 Bambi

If this is the wrong forum please let me know. I went to the specific 1963 Bambi forum but doesnt look like anyones been in there for a while.

My mother in law picked up a 1963 Bambi. She is looking at what the value is on it. It is all in original condition. Original light fixtures, cushions, etc. It does need a new floor but overall condition is pretty good. I'm just looking for a ballpark figure on what this thing is worth. Shes trying to decide if she should put more money into it or sell it as is and look for a new model. Any help would be appreciated. I know nothing about these or what the value of them are.

Your mother in law's trailer is very sought after trailer. The Bambi has quite a following and the values have yoyo since 2000. In 2004 the peak in vintage Airstream non restored values you could see trailers like your description go for as high as $25,000. The low was in 2009 when those same trailers were going for way less $8,000 to $9,000 range. In recent years the prices have gone higher because of the growing interest from the European market for small vintage trailers and the rebound in the US market. Many, like myself, think the Bambi's are cool trailers but too small to camp in them and you are now seeing the prices for Globe Trotters (the next size up) and Safari and Trade Winds prices come more in line with the Signature Trailers (1960 to 1963) with the Bambi maybe fetching a %10 premium. Without seeing many pictures to de-term the condition one can only give you a high and low range. Low range is $5,000 where many of the segment panels are damaged, door damage, major rust. Too $20,000 barn find that has all original parts but in need of rework. If properly restored you can see these trailers in the current market fetch prices in the $45,000 to $55,000 range but keep in mind many people spend that much in restorations. Post pictures and we can give you better information...
