Did you mean it couldn't care less?

Rocinante does not come when called.

However, neither do boats though most folks seem to name them.

We didn't see naming our "land yacht" as being all that different from naming a boat or any other inanimate object. Name it or don't. Trailer don't care. It seems very zen about the whole thing.

We are renovating / remodeling our 88 Excella. Hubs and I were joking one day that we should name her Stella since Stella is getting her groove back. Besides we think Stella the Excella has a nice ring to it.

No, that wasn't us. We have a blue Ford F-150. We purchased on April 22nd, and have done just a couple weekends so far to Trough State Park (nice) and in New Jersey when we purchased from Colonial. We are headed to the Skyline Drive area this weekend. So looking forward to it! Are you going to the Rally in Clarion PA on July 4th? It will be our first....not sure what to expect, but looking forward to it.

It'll just be our Airstream, I'm satisfied with that and it could care less.
I talk to mine too... and by "to" I mean "at"... And by "talk" I mean "curse".

We haven't purchased ours yet, but you KNOW I've named it already! We're looking for a gutted one so we can redo it in the next year or so. It's name? Baked Potato. BKDPTATO

I am naming our, soon to be delivered FC 19C bunk, "Modine". This was the fake name my mother used to go by, when she didn't want to give her real name. Her and her sisters all had fake names.

I even got a Modine sticker from: http://www.standarddecal.com/index.p...oduct_id=34328

Now I just need to decide where to put it on the camper.

You want to know why some people name there Airstreams cause it right of passage. I mean they are in a class by themselves. They look like spaceships and the factory in Jackson Center it's called the Mothership. It's like a old Volkswagen they are cute and you smile when you see them. Well Airstreams are so cute and cool they need a name. Mine Airstream name is Agnes. She named after my Grandmother that loved to go RVing.

Hey, Modine is real, and he rides in a UFO. A perfect name for an Airstream.

(Hint, don't click unless you're a B-52's fan. Otherwise it's 4:44 you can't get back. )

My airstream told me to name it (apparently it objected to an anthropomorphic gender distinction) the silver phallus but we objected and told it this was too crude...no compromises yet. Not sure I can reach a compromise with this apparently juvenile object.

My mothers cats would come when I whistled, or if she ran the electric can opener.

Typical cats. Perverse.

No actual name for ours yet. I've been calling it, generically, the "silver twinkie" - a name my wife hates for whatever reason. To keep peace in the valley I've now begun referring to it as a "pickup Pullman"...

Maybe, if we follow the "Pullman" car analogy, we could name it "Chessie", after the "Sleep like a Kitten" logo of the Chesapeake & Ohio trains of the 1930s. Let's see if that sticks...

Oh, we're pathetic... we "name" everything... our Airstream is "Fortune Cookie" (being an International Serenity). The tow vehicle is "Cookie Monster."

i was never one to name my auto's until i bought a 1976 MG Midget and it's so cute i felt it needed a name, "Blinker", because they have to be manually turned off. i drive with them on a lot. when i bought my vette, the key chain just had the name "John" on it so that stuck. now that i have the AS, i have decided to call it "Freedom" you see i live with and take care of my elderly mother and while i love my mom very much, she is a bit overbearing for lack of a better word. so as i promised to not move off the property, living in the AS is acceptable to her. thus the name "Freedom". free to not clean my plate, free to walk around naked, free to read without interruptions or 50 questions about the book etc.. you get the picture. She is very supportive of the project.... but really i think she is ready to not have me watching her every move and reminding her that she is a diabetic and not supposed to eat "that". the rolls have reversed. regardless i am very blessed to be able to take care of her and spend the time with her i do.

Check out my Avatar

A friend named my tow vehicle…She called it Vanna White. ( Wheel of Fortune lady )

I secretly call my 1973 20 footer….The Retro Rocket.

I might suggest that you build some memories with your trailer, before you personify it. You might bond with it and find a term of endearment that suits the both of you.
