She is very supportive of the project.... but really i think she is ready to not have me watching her every move and reminding her that she is a diabetic and not supposed to eat "that". the rolls have reversed. regardless i am very blessed to be able to take care of her and spend the time with her i do.

Freedom1972 it sounds like we are in similar situations and my AS is named FreedomRay (Ray to honor my dad who passed, this would have been a dream of his). Best of luck to you and enjoy your Freedom! It will only help you take better care of your mom in the long run.

Thanks freedomray. Yes that is my idea. My uncle (my dads twin brother) gave me the AS. They are both retired navy and I intend to use nautical maps from one of the ships as wall paper and will include a few things as a tribute to my dad and aunt which are both passed. But mostly I need a little freedom so I can appreciate my time with my mom. One more week and I will be full force on it.

Hal, the guy who owned our '66 Tradewind before us, purchased it 5 years ago, intending to do with it what we are doing now - a shell off rebuild. Unfortunately, he died of cancer before he could get around to it. As we were towing it away, his widow stood there wiping a tear from her eye. So we named the Tradewind Hal.

Our Airstream, newly resurrected from a storage facility fire, is the Phoenix. Through our year long restoration we realized that she has had her side panels replaced due to who knows what? As well as received a serious head bonk that gave her a scar all along the top running the length of her body. So, burned alive, rolled around, head injury, she is truly a survivor! Our Phoenix, risen from the ashes!

We finally did it. Today we officially became the proud parents of a 2014 FC 19' we named her June Bug.

We have a 2015 Eddie Bauer. We already have a EB teddy bear that travels with my little girl named Eddie. We typically name our vehicles by female designation, so we named our trailer Aunt B after our love for the Andy Griffith show and the simpler times it represented.

We have friends who backed theirs into a tree - subsequently named it Dimples. Can't top that!

Since ours is an International Serenity (with that 'hint' of Asian design influence) we named it "Fortune Cookie." One of the great Forum members here made us a flame-cut, 1/8" brushed aluminum nameplate for the door. We think it's cool.

I rarely attach names to things, but,...

My Avion 34VB is a basement model. The floor is raised providing bonus underfloor storage plus room for larger water and waste tanks. Though shorter than a 5th wheel, it towers over my TV. The day I brought it home it looked like I was under the bow of a ship. Felt like I was being chased by HMS Queen Mary, and wanted to name her accordingly. Wife said she preferred "QE3". Spontaneously the TV was renamed "Tug".

We had an extreme hail storm in Texas several years ago that caused a lot of dimples in our AS. We renamed our Airstream "Hail on Wheels".

My father named his tow vehicle, a large 8 cylinder station wagon in the 70s, the "Pride of OPEC". It passed everything except a gas station.

We took our new Airstream on her maiden voyage to Pinnacles National Park. It's a very serene and beautiful area. It's a "spiritual hideout" for my wife, so we named our AS " Pinni".
