My husband has trailer lust

While bringing our wonderful 27 international in for a routine check my sweet husband discovered the 2015 land Yatch . As a former yatchsman he instantly loved the sleek Italian design. It is gorgeous of course but $$$$$

So do I sell my car, my jewelry, and my rock star LSU football tickets to make the switch? Or hope that he will get over it?

Help!

Keep the car, jewelry and the tickets just toss in a first born or maybe a second if need be. Kids are highly overrated and a terrible investment as they keep coming back, compared to a Land Yacht.

Cheers
Tony

That's kind of humorous...... We all live in great states with nice places to go. You came to Arkansas..... we went to Missouri!

We'll make it to Louisiana sometime. We met a nice couple at Lake Dardanelle last September. I need to find their address.... they are somewhere in NW Louisiana, if I remember correctly.

Note to anyone going to take a look at that Land Yatch model... Bring a big drool towel because you will slobber all over yourself it is so fine!
And a big bank account too if you want to buy one.

Seriously it's too gorgeous to camp in. Maybe find a spot near the Riveria and put out your zip dee chairs.

Paul and Gina check out North Toledo Bend State Park in Louisiana. We were there Monday but no one else was! Very pretty, shaded, clean bath house with AC.

Most Louisiana State Parks tend to be sparsely populated from Monday afternoon to Friday morning. By Friday afternoon the weekenders arrive in droves, and the campgrounds are full, or nearly so, for the entire weekend.

Hey, I grew up in North Toledo( Ohio ) and there were no state parks any near close, just Riverside Park now called Jamie Farr (of M.A.S.H. fame) park.

I'm a diehard Class A loyalist...but even I have to admit when I first walked into the '14 Land Yacht I almost...ALMOST...converted. If they bring back the Land Yacht class A's...let's just say I guarantee you I'll have one of the, if not the, first ones off the line.

....btw won't you have to pay someone to buy the LSU tickets? hehe (Go Cocks)

Give it a year or two, see how they hold up (new model/style) and then browse the classifieds for a gently used one. I’m sure you’ll find a few that have only been out a few times and they decided “glamping" wasn’t their cup of tea... You’ll save thousands, have a better idea what issues folks have experienced and maybe only have to sell the car and LSU tickets (Hook ‘em Horns ).

Keep the kids you might need them as caregivers when you get older. I suggest you paint some thin white stripes on the floor, let him have an extra glass of wine each night and buy yourself an Italitian designer dress. He will be happy enough.

no guarantee that the kids will give a hoot down the road.
I'd wait and look next year or two for a gently used one as mentioned.
I'm not big on buying much of anything new any more.
Just like harleys many find it isn't their cup of tea and you'll save thousands.

If you're at the 'Bend, drive just a few more miles West and check out the Texas Airstream Harbor (TAHI).

Texas Airstream Harbor, Inc.

Also, pay attention to the comment about the kids - bad investment - and they DO keep coming back.

One of the guys here at TAHI just brought in a brand new Land Yacht. While she was taking a tour of it my wife made a comment that she just met her next husband - I think she was serious.

Take a little picture of it and hang it in the bathroom and write the price of it in the biggest numbers you can and after a few day pack some suit case and put by the front door and tell him a realtor is coming to sell the house if he still wants it.

PS, KEEP YOUR TICKETS AS IT MAY BE THE ONLY THING TO FALL BACK ON.
