Looking for Airstream Dealer

Who has had good luck with their dealer and salesperson and would recommend them? We are currently looking and have not had much success. We live in North Texas, but don't mind to travel for purchase. We had a 2010 International 25FB, traded for a 5th Wheel (If that's in the back of your mind, DON'T DO IT) because we thought we needed more space. We didn't. There is nothing like Airstream. Looking at the Flying Cloud 25FB twin. We know our trade is going to be a challenge, but it seems like most of the dealers have a take it or leave it attitude with the Airstreams right now because they are more popular than ever. We would just like someone we could have an intelligent, honest conversation with that is knowledgeable about the product and can give us some options. Thanks for the input.

Colonial in New Jersey is the place. They've always been straightforward with us.
It's a long way to travel, but others have found it worthwhile.

That's interesting, because we were discussing them and if it would be worth the trip. We should probably give them a call.

A little bit closer to home for you is Foley RV in Gulfport, MS. That's where I bought my Airstream.

If you are interested finding a dealer closer to home you can do a search here,

I'll second Pro's recommendation for Foley in Gulfport. Have bought three from them. Sales and service are great!

We've been happy with Airstream Adventures NW in Covington, WA, but that is one heck of a drive. They have other locations (such as Boise, ID) but still pretty far.

In the meantime, we encourage you to consider selling your current RV on consignment via a local dealer as opposed to trading it in. We got far more for our class B+ motor home selling it that way than we would have gotten trading it in. This of course works only if you're willing to be without an RV during the sale process. We sold the motor home first, and then used that cash to help us buy the Airstream. Took a while, and was occasionally frustrating being without an RV, but it was much better for us financially and definitely worth doing.

Well, we do have friends in Tacoma...We have considered this option, and that's most likely what we'll have to do. We won't be traveling as much in 2017 as we have in the past few years, so going without for a while may be something we have to do.

Thanks, we have wondered about them as well. We've passed the dealership several times on trips to Florida.

Has anyone had any dealings with RCsuperstore in Fla? Vogt and Camper Clinic II are both in Texas. Anyone ever deal with either of them?

I have bought two Airstreams in TX. Bought my first in Buda at CamperClinicII. OK experience but left some to be desired. Worked with Vogt in FW initially and was not that impressed with some of the things they said and did. Also had some service done there and again not that impressed. If you have a ProPride or Hensley, they will not accept trailer for service unless you take it off.

Bought my second in Dublin TX at Bayer RV. Great guys and great service. Smaller dealer that will work a good deal for you and easy to work with and get quality service done. I worked with Airstream Pacific NW prior to buying mine in Dublin. They were very helpful too but Bayer matched price and were closer to home. Also gave a great trade in on my 25FC sight unseen based on what they told me and held to the price when I showed up to buy the new unit. Good luck in your search and purchase.

I enjoy Colonial's YouTube videos, but I also thought Safford RV in Virginia was exceptional. They didn't have to sell me, I knew what I wanted. They just had to provide Custer service and a flawless delivery. They did and I'm a tough customer.

We've used Airstream of Spokane and are happy campers. They are nowhere near you, but you might have a lovely drive through the mountains to get there.

Another positive note for Airstream of Spokane - they were very kind, supportive and helpful when we needed service on our way through town last year. Nice folks!

LazyDays Tucson was the best choice for me. Ask for Laura in the sales department. She knows her Airstreams and is a delight to work with! They have a huge inventory, excellent service department and fair pricing. When I needed some warranty work I even drove back down there from Denver to have it done....they get my vote!

We found the sales rep makes a pretty big difference. Dale at Bill Thomas near St Louis, was very good to work with. We worked with another guy there before him,, not so good. I heard he was thinking about retirement though.

Airstream Adventures NW in Tacoma is awesome. I got a great end of season / model year deal. Good people, great selection. Beats my local dealer hands down.
