Lawn chairs for your airstream
I recently purchased two zipdee fold away chairs from zip dee awnings. I must say these are the best lawn chairs i have ever seen, except that they are extremely small (almost like they were made for kids) and very expensive 150 each. although, I do highly recommend these chairs beware that they are very small.
I have also found a company online calle Lawn Chiar USA. they make vintage webbed lawn chairs and they are a perfect addition to my airstream. I purchased four of these (at the price of 1 zipdee chair) and got to choose the webbing i wanted for an additional $5 per chair. these are high quality aluminium chairs that are well built and very attractive next to our airstream. they come in four sizes magnum (xxl) deluxe (xl) picnic (lg) and two beach chairs one with high back one wth low back. check them out at lawnchairusa.com
We now use these for the adults and bring along the zipdees for the kids when they come camping.

We like our Zip Dee chairs too. Yes, they are heavy. Some people note, as you said, they are on the small side. Regardless, we use them regularly and pull out the "bag chairs" only occasionally.
I've heard Zip Dee makes a larger size chair but I don't see it listed on their web site. Call and ask them.
Thanks for the link to lawnchairusa - I've bookmarked it for future reference.

I love the Zip Dee chairs that match the awnings and their little special cabinet by the door.

Lawn chairs for your airstream
I have a pair of Zip Dee standard chairs as well as a pair of the Large Zip Dee chairs. While I still carry them on most trips, I also carry two Cabela's Magnum Director's Chairs that are the popular choice of seating. The Cabela's Director's chairs are very comfortable, and their attached folding side tables are very useful when rallying or caravanning.

Yup.. in our 1999 34' just inside the door on the right is a 'cabinet' which has the space just large enough to hold the folded ZipDees.. It is right on the side of the Gaucho...
When I go to the storage, I will take pics for ya.

Our 1980 Caravelle has a niche at the curbside end of the sofa-bed just the right size for two Zip Dee chairs. The previous owners kept their chairs (since they had their names on them) when they sold us the Airstream so we bought two new Zip Dees to fill it.

Believe it or not, the Zip Dee chairs and that little cabinet were a "selling point" (as if I needed any more convincing) during my decision making/shopping process. Just another one of those neat little Airstream only touches. I just think it's neat/cool or whatever. Good design, good use of space. I first noticed it on a used 1988 34' Excella 1000 that I was trying to buy. On a side note- that trailer had a very simple, but effective shelter. I will take pictures of it next time I am out that way. The shelter was creosote poles for uprights with a roof framed up above and covered in brown metal like metal buildings have. It is an attractive shelter and gives me an idea of how to build my shelter.

Make sure and show me - I will be building early next year and that sounds up my alley
Wonder if my new AS will have the little compartment as such

The Flying Cloud/Int'l do not have a Zip Dee cabinet, Classics do.
We like the Zip Dee chairs as well, not flimsy and saggy like the bag chairs they are made of steel tube and heavy canvas. We carry them in the pickup bed bungee'd behind the portable rv water softener.

I think these come on the Classics... The is what the one on my 27FB looks like, very convenient access next to the door and has enough room for both chairs, a fluorescent lantern, a box of disposable gloves and my step braces.

Two ZipDee chairs came with my Classic 28, and we used them for about 5 years. I found them to be sturdy, but heavy and a bit uncomfortable.
I'm just not that taken with the ZipDee chairs.
At a recent rally, a friend came walking up with two "Pico" folding chairs. After trying his, we ordered two for ourselves. They fold up compactly and come in a carrying bag that hangs on the back when the chair is in use and serves as a big pocket on the back of the chair for jackets and the like. A shoulder strap on the bag keeps my hands free for other items.
The only down side was that the folded Pico chairs, while quite compact, are a very completely different shape than the ZipDees and they would barely fit in the chair garage by the door. I fixed that with a little woodwork modification on the chair garage.
I can sit in the Pico chairs for hours where the frame of the ZipDee chairs were digging into my legs after a short time.
The ZipDees go bye bye at the next flea market.

I want some of those lounge chairs I see people reading and sleeping in but I don't know where to store them. We did lose a lot of storage when we got rid of our sob.

Chair storage
Here is my modified chair storage. When I went from couch to recliners, I modified the chair storage to natch the angle of my chair. When we bought the "Pico" chairs, I added 4" to the length on the small end. Part of the top raises to access a small drawer where things such as the tire gauge reside.
