Hey NEIGHBOR!
Congratulations on your new purchase. She's a pretty purty rig!
Sounds like we have a few things in common. If ya git down here towards the Raleigh area, please look us up. We would love to meet you both. Many happy, fun & safe trails to the two of you. I'm sure we will connect soon as we will be in the same Piedmont unit.
All the best,
Gavin & Kay Sneed
Apex, NC

Welcome to our new friend from Mocksville. I would encourage you to join the WBCCI, Carolinas Unit. And, if you need any service, Out of Doors Mart in Colfax is just a few miles away.

If there is anything we can do, that is, your near neighbors in NC, please let us know.

Yes, it is. It' a Safety Issue. If the fridge is not level, the beer might roll out and spill.

Thanks everyone. It amazes me how many Airstream owners there seem to be here in North Carolina. I'm sure we will meet up with some time. It makes me wonder why I never seem to see Airstreams on the road. It also amazes me how many people have bought from Foley's.

Hi neighbor. Welcome to the Airstream community! We live in Pfafftown, not far from you.

When you start venturing out with your new trailer, consider a trip up to Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains south of Roanoke, VA, a few miles north of Floyd. The drive is about 2 hours from our home so about 2 1/2 hours from Mocksville. Only Airstreams are permitted in the park. The setting is beautiful and there are many recreational, cultural, scenic, and historical locations to see in day trips from the park. In addition you'll meet a friendly group of Airstreamers. WBCCI membership is not required, all you have to do is show up with your Airstream. The park is open May 1 to October 15. All sites have 30 amp electric, water, and sewer, plus there is free wifi in the 44 paved site campground. Here's a link to the website:

Congratulations. Refrig does need to be level when parked, if it's on.

ENJOY

BassCan, we left out of Florida and headed close to Mobile to pick up Interstate 65 in Alabama to head back home. I could not believe how much rain we hit Monday afternoon. There were side streets and parking lots semi-flooded everywhere. We ended up having to do most of the driving the next day because the going was so slow on Monday. I really do not care to take it back out in that type of weather again.

We could not believe how much rain was falling during that time. I know that it was a white knuckle tow.

Lived in Alabama for many years. It used to rain so hard folks just pulled off and waited for it to pass.
