Interior decorations THEN...
I'm very curious to know how folks decorated their Airstreams, especially in the 50's and 60's. Dishes they used, wall hangings, decor for shelves, fabrics for cushions, pillows, window treatments, etc. We have a 1958 trailer that we will be "staging" after restoration, and I need inspiration!
Does anyone have pictures of interior designs from this era? Old family photos of camping trips or rallies gone by would be fantastic! Not to mention, I don't think I'd be the only audience for these historical documents... I know this forum, and I know that inquiring minds want to know!!!
So what do you have in that photo box tucked away in the closet?

If no one has any old family photos from the 50's/60's, how do you decorate your vintage 50's or 60's trailer NOW?

No Photos But.....
Sheri, Try Orange, Olive Green, Blue or Yellow melamine plates, bowls and cups. Old Picnic sets in woven baskets. Folding aluminum or wooden tables and chairs. Aqua or Pink radios. Battery or 12volt Television. Camping gear, Sleeping Bags etc. All these items have to be searched for in antique shops or eBay and are increasingly harder to find. It was a kinder, gentler time. Happy Trails, Ed

Yes, this is exactly how I look sipping my coffee every day.
Unfortunately the little lady was lost long ago in a horrible paisley incident.

What? Silver service? I'm going shopping in the morning to outfit the Bambi, I knew I missed something! Now I know why people snicker when they see my coffee mug.

Hey strandsky,
We put in vintage looking Formica on the dinette table and on the galley counter. You know the stuff with the boomerang pattern. We used the charcoal with white and black boomerangs, then applied an aluminum edge trim. Looks nice.
