How many were/will be made?
I know my 2013 25FB International Serenity came off the production line on 28 June of 2012. I have my serial number for my 2014 27FB Classic that will come off the production line on 15 January 2014. The sequential last six digits of the serial numbers will have incremented 2700 between those two dates which are almost nineteen months apart. That could imply a build rate average of about 142 units per month.
The increase in recent build rates show up in the days spent building. The 25FB started 19 June and was done on 28 June or ten elapsed days. the 27FB will start on 9 January and be done on 15 January for seven elapsed days. For both units there were/will be two off days for a weekend. So the actual hands on time building in 2012 was eight days while the current elapsed time is five days.
I will be watching every day how our new 27FB evolves from a frame to a ready to use trailer.
