You guys have some great stories and are so creative!

Looks like Hubby wants to name her and here are his choices so far:

1) Miss Virginny
2) Homer
3) Steal Magnolia, which if we're going that route, why not Shelby or Truvy?

My one suggestion:

Tin Ginny

If you're thinking Steel Magnolia - why not Aluminum Magnolia [emoji3]

For some reason, I immediately tried to picture what would tow an all steel travel trailer.

My towing pickup is "Trigger" and the AS is "Bullet". In the Roy Rogers movies, Bullet seems to be always chasing Trigger -- just like the TV and AS.

It Depends

We named our Airstream before we bought it. However, as so often happens, circumstances led to a different name which has since stuck.

We changed the name to 'The Airstream Hilton' inspired by the Fontana Hilton hiker shelter on the Appalachian Trail. I would come off the trail every three or four days to stay in the Airstream and as the months wore on, indeed it seemed more and more like a Hilton Hotel experience when compared to living out of your backpack while thru-hiking the AT.

I think the best nicknames find you - just give it a little time and your own experience could very well deliver you a great nickname.

My wife and I have been dreaming about an Airstream for more than 10 years. Somewhere early on we started calling it the Dreamliner. Then Boeing announced their 787 airplane - the Dreamliner!

Undaunted, we continued to 'dream' about owing an AS until finally in Dec. 2015 our dreams were realized. Surprisingly, we were even able to secure a vanity plate for her: DRM LINR.

Our biggest problem now is remembering that we have an Airstream and not calling her the Travel Star, the name of our SOB we had for 13 years.

About a year after we got her I mentioned to my husband that she didn't have a name. We batted around names for awhile but nothing stuck until I said...well what do you call something that is pretty to look at and high maintenance? Yup...her name is The Diva.

My wife will not let me name things anymore, so we are still working on naming ours. Just waiting for the right name.

I named our cats, Kisu (kitty cat) and Toinen (the other one) and our black dog Musta (black)

She does not like Hopea Talo which means silver house in Finnish. :-(

Just waiting for the right name to come along.

names

Our trailer is Moonshine because it shines under the light of the moon - and, because we live in the mountains of East Tennessee where the making of shine is very important.

Our van is called BugOut after the television series about Doomsday Preppers. My husband bought it for me so that I would have something I could drive to take weekends by myself and bug out and get away from the office, stress, etc.

We were lucky that when we applied for "BugOut" as a vanity license plate that it was available -so the name is actually on the van.

AS is Roselee and the TV is Odes from the Levi Lowrey song "Roselee and Odes". Two lovers who never left each other's side.
