I am a big hobby, crafter, sewer, kniter, etc. Does anyone take there craft/hobby on the road? If so, how do allow space for your crafts?

Hi,

I usualy take along a needle point I'm working on. When we were full timing, I had my sewing machine in the coach and continued working on whatever I normaly did. I just didn't have as much stuff.

I was thinking that I could put together some projects and just pack what would be needed for those projects. My big broblen is tend to have many more things(fabrics/notions)(fabric/yarn) and who knows shat else than I need. Guess I will get it figrued out soon./

I have two hobbies that probably could go on the road; bicycles and N-Trak. The bicycles would have to be limited to one or two at a time....

I do a lot of stuff, I usually take a bag with a needlepoint I'm working on also. I make wire-wrapped jewelry, and I have a wood case with rock, crystals, wire, tools etc that travels with me. It is about 18" x 20" x 12" deep, and holds most everything I need, plus a briefcase which contains wire and some other tools. Easy to stash under the dinette when we are traveling and the case sits on the dresser when we are parked.

Seeing as it would be hard for me to take a pinball machine (but I've considered it), I've limited it to my rockets!

I have a special modeling board that has a very small drawer, bins, and a small light that I store in one of the bin locations under the gaucho.

It works great to keep all the 'junk' contained, plus it's portable to go outside.

Speaking of 'N-trak', I'll be starting an HOn30 module for display in November in Dayton. (For those unfamilure, these are portable model railroad layout segments that assemble with each other)

Maggie crochets, varies what she is working on when in the Interstate, due to limited space. Also does some needlepoint, not terribly well but something to do. Maggie's favorite creative outlet is cooking/baking bread. Fun and edible!

Our hobby is birdwatching so we take 2 sets of binis and an identification book. Doesn't take up too much room but i always seem to have empty cupboards in the 34' anyway. Lots of place in Ontario Canada for this activity. Have also been to the Everglades, amazing. Hope to go to Big Bend, Texas one winter soon...maybe this winter...who knows!
