Once upon a time when the world was not so complicated, Inland Harbor RV Park in Darien Georgia offered shrimp dinners - from cocktail to main course. The great part of it was that the shrimp came straight from a family member's boat - - having caught the shrimp within the last day or two and processed and froze them onboard.
We have been known to arrange for 10 or 15 pounds to go in the camper freezer.

Sigh, the local powers that be determined that they did not have a restaurant license..

Massey’s Landing in DE

Our very first trip in Hiyo was to Massey’s Landing. Two on-sight restaraunts deliver to your site and the zero entry pool has a swim up bar with live music. LOVED IT.

Yes, at a KOA in Arizona and delivery from a Pizza Hut in Oklahoma. It was fun to get food delivered to the door of our Airstream!

At Coronado State Campground in Bernalillo (just North of Albuquerque) the casino comes to pick you up and takes you back for free, 5 minute notice. They have several decent restaurants.

When we were in Amarillo, we were picked up at the KOA at our site and brought to the Big Texan Steakhouse in a Cadillac with huge Longhorns on the front - a fun evening! This pick up and drop off service was provided by the restaurant.

We stayed at the Carlsbad KOA Holiday campground this past June during a trip to Carlsbad Caverns (NM) and was delighted to discover they delivered BBQ dinners to your door. From their website: Continuing a long tradition started by the original owners, we serve our smoked meats and traditional sides that we will deliver right to your front door. Our pork has previously been featured on "BBQ with Bobby Flay" and we strive to keep the smoke burning. Delicious.

We also stayed at a campground which had gas pumps, a store, and a restaurant which delivered to your door in Utah. Sorry, can't think of the name of the place. Talk about convenient!

I learn something new every day! I would not have believed that room service or even delivery take out was possible in an rv.

I wouldn't even think to check! This could be a great treat once in a while.

You just need to be careful and sniff it out that it will be good. The East Kansas City KOA says they do it but it really comes from a place 5 miles away delivered by a shuttle driver unless during a weekend... The place in Georgia does it on site, so it is good.
Regardless, after a long hard day getting something for dinner delivered is wonderful....

How interesting......

We are headed to Fort Stevens State Park in Oregon. I would think room service is not an option.

It was a nice treat though the other day after a long journey.

I am sure if we travel long and far enough we will run into it again and we may take them up on it if the mood arises.

It is nice to hear everyone's experiences. What great memories!!!

Home Delivery via App

There are a number of apps offering food delivery to your door,
here's a few, obviously you have to put some effort into figuring out the food availability & then use the app.
Seamless (iOS/Android)
Grubhub (iOS/Android)
Doordash (iOS/Android)
UberEats (iOS/Android)
Postmates (iOS/Android)
Delivery.com (iOS/Android)
Yelp Eat 24 (iOS/Android)
Foodler (iOS/Android)
In our very competitive grocery market, you can phone in your grocery order & get it delivered for free.

Texas is a big place. Do you remember which KOA it was? Nice people like that definitely deserve our business.
