Have you ever had room service brought to your Airstream?

We pulled into the KOA in Cranbrook B.C. yesterday after a long day and they told us we could order room service brought right to your trailer. This particular KOA is basically attached to a casino (we were there for the lodging an not the casino).

We were definitely in the mood for it. I had a steak and my wife had the salmon and it was basically fine dining at fine dining prices. I was quite good.

Is this normal at casino/resort RV parks? Has anyone had this before?

What a difference a day makes we are just finishing our Annies Pasta (organic Kraft dinner) lovingly served by my wife. I wonder if she wants a tip.

Yep, at some KOA's. in Georgia south of Atlanta. That night we had ribs. And a golden surprise was that we gave them a 1970 brochure of their campground we saw at a Kentucky KOA...so they showed up with a free huge cookie "that they were giving to their best guests".
There are some nice KOA's out there. As well as some that are a bit rugged. Still all the fun of using the trailer.
The key is to learn the code: Journey, Resort, etc. They have set some newer levels of what to expect.

I had room service at the Lazy Days RV park in Tucson....loved it. I was tired after a long day of driving and it was so nice to stay in and have someone bring the food to me

We haven't had 'room service' from the campground, but occasionally order in food from local restaurants.

I came across that at a KOA this past summer, tho the offerings were only pizza.

I think it’s a great idea, as ordering carryout delivered is the occasional luxury at the end of a long driving day.

That's fabulous! I hope this is the beginning of a trend. The only time we had this was when we delivered our left over dutch oven dinner to some campers arriving right at dark. They were in the middle of setting up and were delighted to help out with our clean up.

Had live lobsters delivered to our Rig while in Maine. I thought that was excellent!

Ten or so years ago, we stayed at a campground in the parking lot of and part of Circus Circus on the Strip in Las Vegas. They did offer room service to your RV. We were also invited to use the pool and other guest facilities. They also had several static Airstreams that they rented as rooms.

I don't know if they still have the RV park or not.

I love the last line of Albireo's letter...that brings it all back to normal:
What a difference a day makes we are just finishing our Annies Pasta (organic Kraft dinner) lovingly served by my wife. I wonder if she wants a tip. Safe travels, wherever/however you dine.jon

Room service

The only room service we've ever had in our trailer was this summer at an Idaho WBCCI rally where the rally hosts brought us all breakfast in bed in our trailers, they in their PJs, us in our robes. It was such fun.

Managed to pull into a KOA in Texas at a more reasonable hour one time.

Campground had a restaurant, but it was early in the season and it was not officially open. Asked at the desk where we could get dinner, and the lady responded that she could cook and deliver a meal to us if we wanted. I think she noticed we were very tired... Simple home-cooked meal brought to us nice and hot for only a few dollars--absolutely wonderful. I think it was basically what they had cooked for their dinner.

We make a point of stopping there every time we pass through. Wonderful folks running it.

Marlowe's BBQ

Yes, we ordered food for delivery.

We were flooded from our campground on the river of the Mississippi, so had to relocate to Graceland RV in Memphis. When we were getting settled, we saw a pink Cadillac pull up and get some fellow RV'rs to take them to the restaurant.

We were exhausted, it was still raining and we didn't want to go out, but the RV park had a flyer......and the restaurant delivered! We had some of the best BBQ delivered by none other than the Pink Cadillac!

Heading that way in January. Just curious if the food was from Lazydays, or delivered from an outside restaurant.

Once upon a time when the world was not so complicated, Inland Harbor RV Park in Darien Georgia offered shrimp dinners - from cocktail to main course. The great part of it was that the shrimp came straight from a family member's boat - - having caught the shrimp within the last day or two and processed and froze them onboard.
We have been known to arrange for 10 or 15 pounds to go in the camper freezer.

Sigh, the local powers that be determined that they did not have a restaurant license..

Massey’s Landing in DE

Our very first trip in Hiyo was to Massey’s Landing. Two on-sight restaraunts deliver to your site and the zero entry pool has a swim up bar with live music. LOVED IT.

Yes, at a KOA in Arizona and delivery from a Pizza Hut in Oklahoma. It was fun to get food delivered to the door of our Airstream!

At Coronado State Campground in Bernalillo (just North of Albuquerque) the casino comes to pick you up and takes you back for free, 5 minute notice. They have several decent restaurants.
