Debate is where ideas are tested and sharpened.

Argument is where everything becomes a personal affront.

Debate is generally good, argument is generally fruitless.

I love a good debate, but despise a bad argument.

Does it count if the self defense was against a declared enemy of the United States?

Nope. Anyone trying to harm me or my family is an enemy.....

However, I won't ever use deadly force to protect stuff....stuff is replaceable, my family is not.

The only material thing I would kill to defend is my country. My family, my country, and my personal belief in God are what it's all about.

Nope, probably not worth the paperwork. Besides, I'm not likely to have the time or inclination to change out the ammo just to defend property.

Tend to be an all or nothing sort...😄

Not so much in self defense, but in defense of the success of my/our mission. I've seen things I can't unsee and done things I can't undo and while I can cloak myself in some sort of moral and ethical peace of mind that I kept it between the lines; as I stated before, ghosts are still something to avoid if you can.

Cheers

Anyway, just picked up a new Stealth Safe Minivault pistol safe with keypad for $95 at the local gunshow today. Size is slimmer than my other safe so that it can fit in the bedside stand out of sight. Plus the door opens on the end instead of the top. Plenty of room for two side arms and extra clips. So many places in the Airstream to bolt down a gun safe for secure storage. I like mine close to the bed though. Any one use prefragmented rounds in .40 S&W?

This is better than the towing threads.

I still think firing a shotgun inside an Airstream is a bad idea. Unless you can get that magic super silenced one that Anton Chagas uses in no country for old men.

I just got done with my CCW class. I am smarter and know that I need to take more responsibility. So I am corrected when it comes to any future travels. But a shotgun in a trailer?

A shotgun isn't really great handling in a trailer. No way to swing it....During a days work, I often do building and home searches. Unless the place is a large business or a McMansion of a home, I usually use a handgun and leave the long gun in the car...Same for my home. I have many long guns, but I would likely grab a handgun to clear my own home.

I believe the reason for a shotgun to be considered is they're more apt to be allowed through border control to transit or remain inside Canada. See the non-restrictive section at URL:

There are options, once one realizes the need. AIrsteams.SOB, truck camper, tent, pup tent, sleeping under God's starry blanket...

Here is one,,, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taurus_Judge

You may choose different sizes of deterrence, but is easy to maneuver in tight spaces and I have feasted on game and dispatched vermin.... it is up to the "caliber."..

Do I understand it is easier to carry a shotgun vs a hand gun across state lines? The "Judge" looks like a handgun.
