Globetrotter storage ideas sought

We recently took delivery of our new 2018 Globetrotter and are in the process of outfitting it. Our previous Airstream was a 1993 30' Excella (which was 6" narrower), and no, we are not putting everything from the old one into the new one. We are looking for ideas on how to best utilize the ample storage space in the overhead cabinets, particularly in the galley/lounge area. The space is quite large: wider, deeper and taller than we had in the '93 and we were confident in how we used that space, but the new space is a bit of a challenge. If there were on "off-the-shelf" containers, that would help, but we don't know of any that would fit well and use the space efficiently without the container being too large and heavy when loaded.
We have lined the drawers and pantry with "cut-and-place shelf liner", and will likely place some in the bottoms of the overhead cabinets to keep items from sliding around. Our prior practice had been to store dishes, glasses and that type material in the overhead cabinets in the '93.
So, what ideas/solutions have others employed to efficiently use this space? Also related, how are you using the "covered recesses" in the countertop just behind the sink?
Thanks in advance for your ideas!

So, this is still of interest to us.
I would describe the overhead cabinets with the “swing-up” doors as being very similar to the overhead storage compartments on an airplane, that is, quite commodious, relatively easy to access, yet best suited for stuffing “carry-on” luggage and coats into the space.
Without some way to sort the contents one takes on a trip, and to organize, likely via racks or containers, we find it difficult to utilize the space well and fill it efficiently.
Has anyone solved this with ideas that you can share? Thanks.

I’m not at my trailer but we have a 27FB Cloud and the storage bins you describe. We have simple organizers you can find at any local store, big box or online retailer. Dish rack, spacers, small bins, etc. I can take pictures in a few weeks but the options are endless! Good luck!

We do not have a GT but our TB is similar except the doors slide instead of swing up. We use those two cabinets for dishware and towel storage. To make it easier for the DW to see and reach the contents and to prevent items from shifting during travel, I made a fixture out of pegboard and dowels to hold everything. Only a few of the pegs are glued in place so we can adjust as our needs change. So far it works for us.

Thanks for the ideas so far—we’re always open to learning what works for others that we might adapt for our use!
