Forum avatar name on trailers?

I was wondering if this is a good idea? Since I reconize or remember avatars better than names. Do members do this? Maybe a plaque hung outside that can be removed for privacy. I have a tendancy to remember people names that wear a skirt better. If wearing a kilt I would definitely remember your name.

I thought about making up some no-business cards— sort of like business cards but for my retirement. I was definitely going to put my WBCCI number on them, but now you've got me thinking that I might want to put my AirForums handle on there as well.

But if you should happen to meet me somewhere, you'd recognize me even without the no-business card, I hope? After all, I do use my own face as my avatar!

Note to self: Dig out that blue beret that I haven't worn since I bought it, and get my picture taken with it on, so I can put it on my no-business card in place of a company logo…

Dear Protag...

Do you want to be truly memorable? Especially in your blue beret?

I did not personally witness this but it's a legend surrounding "toairishuman" who is no longer active though I hope he is lurking.

As I heard the story - at a WBCCI rally or perhaps the International - he was told by the tag inspectors that he must never leave the trailer without his tags and badges. At which point he went into his trailer and returned wearing his blue beret and nametag... and....

An image I can only imagine but will never forget. Oddly the imagined picture of the expression on the Tag Nazi's face is even more priceless.

It's Friday and I'm feelin' it!

Sorry Protag I should have used the word ''handle'' instead of avatar. Maybe the mods can fix this for me. Foiled Again don't forget the kilt with that blue beret

Even if the story is only apocryphal, I wouldn't doubt it.

But no, thank you, I don't want to be that memorable! I don't look half as much like Bruce Willis as I'd like to think I do…

Why stop with the kilt. How about wearing the traditional Scottish head gear instead the blue beret???

I have been to about 20 rallies in the last 3 years. Never have I seen anyone put their internet name on their trailer.
At some rallies we wear name tags. Canopener does put our Airforums name on their tags. It is your trailer do do with as you please. If a plaque with your internet name appeals to you, feel free.
