Ha ha...I like the way you think, Dan.

I don't know what part of the country you are in, but some chapters of BMW CCA are more active than others. I have lived all over the U.S. and found that the Roundel is a known constant and alone is worth the cost of membership. If you find an active chapter, you should give one of the social events a try.

Current TV is a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo...about the same mpg as the 4.6is, but more comfortable and an extra 100hp/100lb-ft. Also, the adjustable air suspension in the P-truck came in handy when backing the AS up our steep driveway. I just lowered the truck which levered the back end of the trailer just high enough to clear the angled drive--way cool!

Glamping; yes, quite fitting. It is gorgeous ... gotta ask the color of your Porsche? BMW and Porsche nut here too ... until we lost all the dealers for both marques in all of MT. Now settled for a BMW GS.

Hey, neighbor, when you've got the Safari back in Colorado, I'd like to take a look.

Cayenne is Lapis Blue (dark blue metallic) with brushed aluminum trim. The combination of the color with the AS out back is quite striking. Our salesman said "you guys are gonna get lots of tickets...for looking too good!". Vanity aside, I knew he must have been talking about the truck and the trailer.

Bummer there are no more bimmer or Pcar dealers in MT. Sounds like a good business opportunity for someone.

Will do, Zep. Probably looking at next summer at this point given weather predictions. You could always escape the cold in CO and come take a look in Tucson this winter ;-). Check out Alumafiesta at the Tucson International Gem and Mineral Show.
