Driveway Camping
I thought it would be fun to see if other fellow Airstreamers like to camp in their driveway like we do. Sometimes, we just can't get away or it is so nice that we just want to enjoy our own yard but still use the Airstream. So much so, that when we used pavers to create a parking space on the side of the house, we extended the pavers to the back yard and tried to create an "Airstream Park", to enhance our Driveway Camping experiences. Next on the list is to add 30amp outlet.
Any other "Airstream Driveway Campers" out there? It is time we go public!
Below are a few pictures of our new parking area.

That's a great looking set-up for no-travel camping. We sometimes stay in the Airstream when all of our four boys come to our house at the same time. We live three houses off the ocean, but don't have any views like yours.

Wish we could but our driveway is too steep, it doesn't extend to the backyard and the HOA doesn't allow us to keep a trailer at the house for longer than 48 hours. We've considered moving but at this point we're just happy everything's paid for
Ah, retirement, where everyday is Saturday

I had a special place created for my Avion on the Animas River with views of Engineer Peak. This worked out so well, that I created another space next to a pond for the Safari, complete with water, DishNetwork, 30Amp service and sewer. Since our guest house is used for our maintenance guy, these have become our new guest houses. We use an M-B Leisure van for traveling now.

Yep, we like it too. I put a 30 amp dedicated RV outlet in for power. We tend to use the toilet and shower in the house, though, so I do not have to figure out where to empty the tanks.

Yep, we sure do. We also installed a dedicated 30amp outlet and a 20amp for the second ac. We live in a quite small bungalow and when the kids are home from colorado they use it as their guest room. Pretty awesome guest facilities if you ask me, they absolutely love it too.

When we purchased new mattresses, we slept in our driveway to try them out!

We love just sitting in ours to eat or relax. I want to install a 30 amp outlet, pad and covering. We have covering at our barn but I want something near the house.

We have spent quite a few nights in the pole barn next to the garage where our Pete stays. We have water and 30 Amp power in the barn and live in the country, so grey water is no problem. I have spent more nights than my bride, as I worked nights for a while, and I could sleep in without being in the way. We sleep as well in Pete as the house since adding memory foam toppers and mattress pads to the twin beds. Sure is a nice guest room!

Nice; I climbed Engineer Peak many years ago. Durango is one of my favorite places. Francisco, The Palace, and Gardenswartch Sporting Goods.

I have 50 Amp service and use the sewer clean out for the sewer in our backyard. I run the cable out there also.
Our daughter lived in teh trailer for 6 months after her horse accident (horse threw her, foot caught in stirrup, dragged her down the road. Luckily she had on a helmet)... still no sense of taste or smell.
Funny thing is when I redid the trailer the sewer vent pipe came undone behind the closet and the trailer always had a 'sewer' odor, especially after dumping the black water.
It was almost enough to make us sell the trailer until an airstream buddy told me what the problem was..... luckily Sara couldn't smell it.
Now, the trailer is just as good as new!

The FaN is a lot more than an occasional travel trailer. You could say it has always "earned its keep."
Now it's the driveway "corporate headquarters" for my start-up company.

Driveway "Happy Hour"
Baseball sized hail is forecast for this weekend (south central Montana) so we decided to party/camp in the driveway and make a sprint for the garage when the storms hit.

I have too! I loved to just relax in it and putter just yards from the house.

July 4th family get together in the backyard. We stayed in the AS, nice and quiet.
