I guess they made the trailers more sturdy back then?

I miss the cartoons before the movie ... I loved hearing my father laughing at Wylie Coyote when we loaded all the family into the old Chevy & headed to the drive in.

Don't really miss the drive in that much tho

I think that Mickey cartoon is the earliest memory I have of a travel trailer, it must've contained some sort of subliminal messaging considering I'm on a AS site 30 years later !

Thank you. That is a nice reminder of a less complex time. It makes me want to get Lucy out on the road.

speaking of Lucy... you've all seen the I love Lucy where Lucy rides in their travel trailer while driving, right ? More classic slapstick TT humor that still makes me laugh !

"The Long, Long Trailer"! I remember seeing that at the theatre when it was first out. When I got my Airstream, I found a new copy on Amazon, and re-lived it; what a blast!

The part where they go over the mountain with Lucy's forbidden "rock collection" is gut-splitting funny!

Thanks for the link, I am going to find a way to show that to my 2-year old grand-daughter.
