Decorating Your Airstream

I am getting ready to decorate the walls of my new air stream. I plan on hanging my decorations above the front and back windows which means on the white Formica walls. At least I think it's Formica. I don't really want to ruin the walls and do permanent damage. Any ideas
While we are on the topic, what about the aluminum walls also??
Thanks

Formica? I don't think I have seen that originally used on the walls. I use 3M Commend strips for most interior projects. Easy to apply, remove and no marks left.

Ditto. Available at Lowes. Lots of different hook configurations for various sizes and weights.

So, we just overhauled an Airstream and wall decoration was a concern for me too. I used 3M Command product to hang pictures. No holes, no tape marks, no damage. It works on the cabinets and padded vinyl walls but not so much on "mouse fur" walls. I'm pretty sure it would also work on aluminum too.

On the "mouse fur" walls just stick the hook side (i.e., not fuzzy) of Velcro to the back of your picture/clock/key holder/whatever and stick it to the mouse fur. Magic. Can be easily removed or relocated. Does not damage the "fur."

Command Strips do not stick on Airstream wallpaper; does anyone have advice for hanging items on that?

I did use the Command strips on the vinyl wallpaper in the bathroom. I made sure the vinyl was super clean and dry before applying the strips. I, also, let it "sit" for over 24 hrs. before hanging any weight on it. They are still up working even after the heat of summer and cold of winter. I wondered if it would really do the job...but the Command strips worked beautifully.

I tried both command strips and 3M's permanent double sided wall mount tape. Of course I did the cleaning, and waiting for 24 hours before using. Both failed when hanging only a summer straw hat. Command Strips work well on wood and painted dry board, but this vinyl wallpaper? Nope. *sigh*

Prep the surface with alcohol and wipe dry before attaching command strip.

Command strips would adhere to my vinyl but tended to pull the wallpaper away from the wall.

Firstwave: had a similar problem with a picture hung on "orange peel" wall. Took a big chunk of it when the picture fell down. Human error: picture too heavy for hook. I tried again, after repairing wall, with actual picture hanging version, weighed pic to make sure it wasn't too heavy. Works like a charm. They even have heavy duty hooks for shower use now. Shoulda bought 3M stock.
