It does cost less to buy one Airstream instead of three SOB's...

This was my rationale - live life while we are young and healthy...we are lucky in our case to be in our financial position

Be out of student debt in 2018 - man I'm going to throw a party that year!!!!!!!

I have a significant love of the romantic idea of keeping my airstream for many many years - passing it on to kids or grand kids - just something cool about that prospect really.

I simply respond ,"the cost is between my wife and the IRS- on a need to know basis" the rest just be happy for us".

One coworker/fellow camper/friend is always complaining about his poorlymdesignedmsob with terrible sway. He is also always talking about buying a bunkhouse. My usual response is that he needs a Flying Cloud 30 to which he and his wife reply that they won't buy a camper that cost more than their house. Why not? I did. I lived in a 2 bedroom trailer before I married. My car cost more than that house. My Harley cost more than that house. Since I only paid 13 grand for that trailer buying a car or motorcyle that didn't cost more than my house wouldn't have left me many choices. I now live in a 2 bedroom brick house. My Airstrem cost more than my house. It is the most expensive thing I have ever bought. So what? Who cares? I like it. I will live in it full time some day. I will never buy another house.

I don't understand why people tend to criticize one another on account of their choice of hobbies...
A conversation among 2 coworkers back in the day of the low-rider mini trucks:
"You just ruined a perfectly good pickup. You can't haul anything in it."
"It's just a hobby, like you have a farm with horses and cows."
"Yeah, but we don't cut them off at the knees."

tentative pickup date at dealer 11/1/13

Not sure how likely this will change...but in talking with the dealer I needed a conservative estimate to plan for getting that friday off at work and will stay over at dealer friday into saturday.

There IS a light at the end of the tunnel after all, and it's NOT an endoscope!

If we go to that wedding in Ocean Springs it is November 2. We would travel to the coast Friday, November 1 and return home on November 4. I haven't decide on a campground, but there are several nice ones down there. My first instinct was Big Biloxi on US Hwy 49 up the road from Foley.
Maybe we can park our rigs next to one another and oo and ah and compare.

at the minimum, I suppose we will camp @ foley friday 11/1 into 11/2...my father and step mom will be keeping the kids back at home while we get all this done....not sure If we will stay in that area saturday night into sunday then go home or leave saturday? still working on those details...but we should def. try to bump into each other...heck even swing buy there either 11/1 (I think we will be there all day pretty much) or PM me and see if we are still around saturday....hopefully there will not be a bunch of kinks, leaks, etc...but those will need to be addressed if they are seen.

Take your leveling blocks with you. If memory serves from when I occupied one of their campsites to empty my black tank early last week, they're not quite level. I may be mistaken about that; the more senior I get, the more senior moments I have. Still, plan ahead.
