Can anyone help me figure out what model airstream this is?

I just recently purchased this Airstream but I'm not sure what year it even is. I was told by the previous owner that it is a 1958 the overall length from hitch to rear bumper is 24". I posted a few pics I hope this helps. Thank you in advance.

I'm gonna go with a 1955 to 1957 Overlander, possibly a "Custom". The official length looks to be 26'. The 1958 had an additional set of clearance/marker lights up higher than yours. I can't link to the archives on airstream.com anymore, not sure what the deal is. Should be nameplate, serial number, etc. somewhere on there. More pics would help. Good luck!

If it is actually 24' it should be a Tradewind.... the photos don't show except the one view and the tiny fuzzy ones... here is a link to the Vintage Airstream Photo Archive. See what you think! Vintage Airstream Photo Archives.

Good luck!

I agree, it is a 55'-57' Overlander/ Crusier or Custom which are all considered 26' footers measured bumper to tongue.

In the mid-late 50's which this trailer definitely is based on the number of panels at the end cap, Airstream didn't offer a 24'. The bumper & tongue add 2-˝ to 3' to the body though which is where length confusion comes from.

In '58, the end panels were reduced from 13 to 7 - so it has to be earlier than that. In '54 the rear tail lights were square. If you post the VIN number, you can be more certain.

O- 7000 to O- 7144 (Cruiser “Overlander”)
O- 4600 to O -4609 (Cruiser “Romany”)
California built: ~6500 to ~6600

1956
Ohio built:
O-7145 to O-7358 (Overlander)
O-4219 to O-4233 (Cruiser)
