That 's how we feel on our over-sized couch and chair at the stick and brick house.

IKEA folding chairs?

Anyone look at and try folding chairs from IKEA for small size, light weight and compactness.

Nope but if someone does post them!

I'll be at some point for a set of lightweight - smaller - and comfy (enough)

Im leading towards those pico types - what are the ikea ones ?

I was there recently looking for a comfortable swivel desk chair relatively lightweight comfortable enough to double as an armchair. I also saw some small folding compacts that could double as camp chairs. Didn't try those -- the catalog shows a model NISSE @ $13. I could also use a couple for occasional dining use.

I plan to alter a 20' for a desk and folding dining table. For desk use, the MARKUS seemed comfortable and only about 45lbs.

We know a couple who bought many swivel desk chairs for their dining room table. Their dining room looks like a board room/conference room.
We threw away a couple of those cheap sling chairs recently. I'm reverting to the old 50's, 60's light aluminum frame folding lawn chairs with the nylon webbing-

M.hony - I am interested in those as well - very light - pretty strong - and can find for inexpensive - there is a website I saw on a company that makes them and you can order custom sizes and colors

Actually we did buy one of the Ikea folding chairs to use with our stowaway table in our 23. We've used it maybe 5 times in three years. Even though our floor plan doesn't have the dinette we find ourselves eating inside on only the rainiest of days. But I definitely can recommend the ikea chair. Stores easily, fairly comfortable

Ikea folder

Thanks. Good to know it isn't a loser at that price.

I went out and purchased another La Fauma air gravity chair. REI had it on sale for 30% off, plus my yearly dividened and a gift certificate made it very reasonable. I saved the over charged shipping fee by picking it up at an REI Store. Now I just have to take it out the box and use it.

oh you will love it....and I am jealous of that deal!!

I just need to figure out a cup holder for it...they sale one I think...stocking stuff I will hope santa brings me.

So far mine has held up nice...no problems...the "clips" for the future show no problems so far...I would watch the hinge areas for any rust...Ive pre-emptively treated those areas with a bit of anti-corrosive (corrosion x) and will do so after trips while they sit in my garage.

This is our 2nd one. The first one has stood up great. No rust. My one complaint was it took to long to dry when it got wet. This should not be the case with the new one.

I can attest this - my mesh fabric on mine when wet can just be knocked right off and a microfiber towel run over it dried it up nice - if in the sun drying would be very very fast

That soft cushion fabric would be another story I assume

I just added the REI pico chairs - a set as Xmas gift - we will see - I'm still mulling leisurely

I also sat in a friends small egg shaped folding chair - not butterfly type but similar - I was impressed and very light weight

you know, I looked at a couple of those at CW...are you talking about the ones with the little hydrolic doo dad? if not, how do they fold up with that big rocking surface?

Elite Folding Rocker (Prime Line)

http://www.amazon.com/Products-13-65...rocking+chairs

I found this in one of those giant RV catalogs and ordered it thru local dealer at about same price. I ought to order a few more (and will when my son is finally cut loose from USMC.)

I'm 6'2" @ 200# Very long legs & arms (which causes me to leverage most chairs fairly hard).. This chair has met all expectations. I can quite easily forget where I am when reading (meaning hours).

It "collapses" into a good shape/size. Releases at seat juncture and rear legs slide.

Unlike the bigger taller "zero gravity" type chairs, this one isn't hot in summer (lack of airflow).

The crappy little fold up chairs from sprts stores I find okay for less than 30-minutes (due also to an old back injury).
