We got the play by play, but where's the color commentary?

None of them were any better than what Walmart has, but were more expensive. The blue one was the worst. The others were some shade of brown or green or maroon-

Hey. Red. I discovered that if I fall asleep in my chair and stay there overnight, I do not get condensation under the mattress.

This is a great thread Pharm. I think it endures because it is the simple pleasures that are most satisfying. Take Bob's hat for example, most likely an item that is a constant companion due to its comfort, like your chair. Sad that Jack Tilley is trying to sell his business. Jim

You may not get condensation, but you'll have a massive hangover as well as a crick in your neck...

I think this is a good time to check in with a report on our new Kermit chairs.
I am sitting in one now as I write this and it is surprisingly comfortable! At the suggestion of the manufacturer, I have removed the leg extensions for a post bicycle ride "rest". Somewhere I read a critique of the chair where someone complained about the curved wood support bothering their back. I feel it but it is not uncomfortable. With the leg extensions not being used you are in fact able to rest your feet on the ground quite comfortably. It is one step this side of lounging. I believe it is time to try a nap now before lunch…

Sounds good Bruce!
I just ordered one of the helinox chairs today.
I'll have a full report on that within the week
If I like it - I'll buy a second one in a couple months with my amazon points.
We have a trip planned to tybee island - it will be my family of 4 - my sister and her two daughters - my chairs will get plenty of use

Comfort so far after sitting in it for over 15 min is very good. Nice leaning back posture - feet comfortably laid out.
The whole thing shifts around a bit if you move and push around - but seems overall very sturdy.
The components seem high quality and it packs up super small and light - making keeping a couple stowed away very space friendly and easy to pack in a short hike somewhere to sit and enjoy a view or at events etc etc
Good impressions so far - pricey though for sure
A buddy if mine was like "that should not cost more than 20 bucks" - perhaps - I would love to try the joey chair in contrast - I think I went with the helinox because of a greater wealth of very positive reviews - the negative reviews were mostly just a few people that did not like the size of the chair

How does the saying go? (at least in regard to bikes and bike components) : Strong, light and inexpensive - Pick two.

an update on the helinox one chair....
I love it still...have used it a bunch around the house just to continue to see how it feels to me, and I must say I approve still. It definitely is a light chair, and you are not meant to just flop down and lean hard back in it quickly, but settling into it is easy and comfortable.
Reviews from my peers so far are mixed...my wife did not get my enthusiasm....she said after sitting in it for 4 seconds that she did not like it...
I had some friends over the other day, two people sat in it, neither were thrilled, my brother was the 3rd, he had a similar reaction...but all felt that the size, compact light nature made it a neat chair, but they were not "sold".....my housekeeper is an RV'er and she loved it, and wanted one...my neighbor (who is 70 years of age and rides a motorcycle) now wants one for his birthday he tells me (I forwarded that info to his son)....and I will have iggywalker (they, the couple) test it out. My kids like it...its a great kids chair if/when needed, but for Olivia its too tall, my 4 year old son can use it though...
The construction seems very sturdy, and when I sit in it, it can move and shift around, but overall feels like it will not break by any means.
The problem I see with it (and this has been discussed before) is that on some surfaces it will likely sink....solutions for that have been discussed....I think I will use the electrical conduit fix if/when such a problem begins to surface...
My wife says she does not want one now, so I am not sure if I will buy a second one...I may order her one of the others we have discussed and see how she likes it...

My folding rocker referenced waaay above this sure doesn't sink in the dirt. Or lack for ergonomics common to household furniture. You gotta truck, PG, even four of them wouldn't be that hard to store given hours of use per day per trip.
