It was worse than a poor child looking through a candystore window. Looked at it and then the price. Looked at my wallet. Have a gift card and 10% of coupon. Looked at it again. Sighed. Hope there is one left after the holidays. Wonder if Santa will get my Christmas wish list?

WAU Assateague Rally blows up Santa!

A fun weekend made better with the appearance of Santa! Sad though, he couldn't seem to make up his mind if he was going to come out and join us or not.....

Wow, glad I started this thread!

I had no idea when I started this thread that so many people (60+ replies!) would have such interest. For what it is worth, I finally got one myself this past week.

I kept telling my wife that $128 was too expensive. However I was in Detroit for a few days last week, during which time my wife saw the email about the sale price being $98 (thanks by the way!). So her and the kids drove out to Lowes with a $10 coupon and bought one for less than $90. When I got home Friday night, there it was wrapped and sitting in the middle of the living room.

I'm sure my neighbors will get a chuckle seeing it in the front yard, after seeing the AS in the driveway all summer.

Happy Holidays,
Eric

I got mine yesterday and, even though the sale was over, the online price still said $98 so Lowes gave it to me for that price. Think they will fix that in a hurry.

I received the Santa RV yard art as a present this weekend from neighbors at the campground. It's a perfect addition to my Christmas decorations.

Hey those that have them up already is the top part of yours, by the Merry Christmas very dimly lit? I'm wondering if that's just how it is or if I had a bulb out. I was thinking of opening it up and looking up there, but its below zero out so I thought I'd ask instead

Mine is up and it is dim also. Not sure if it has a bulb up there. Does need to be brighter IMHO.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Joe

That is the rule in our house too! It will be inflated after Thanksgiving dinner. I can't wait... 9 hours and counting!

air intake

We've had ours set up for a few weeks and noticed Santa is getting a bit "shy" about opening the door.

Problem turned out to be the leaves that have started falling around here. They clog the air intake on the fan, reducing air pressure inside.

Dave I wasn't allowed to set it up until Thanksgiving night but since we're hosting both families this year I begged to put it up so it would be going when the family got here so I could show it off. I guess I looked pathetic enough, it worked.

We bought our's at Lowes here in Windsor Ontario Canada in October for $148 + tax, and this week they went on sale for $111 + tax. We still had it in the box.
We don't put it up until Dec 1.
Anyway, we took it back to the store yesterday, (there were NO MORE on the shelf), and they refunded us the difference ($41). Very nice.
Still can't wait to put it up.
It's going up at Mom's trailer park on Lake Erie. Perfect.

We finally got to get ours out and put up... it is cool... we also found a lighted flamingo with red boots and hat to accompany our Blow Up AS.

You gotta love the rock front yard. The grass mat and the Flamingo make it feel complete.

I will get a daytime shot of this menagerie, I am attempting to piss off my HOA for a couple of different reasons. The lights across the front of the house are not holiday lights, but 4 strings of vintage riviera patio lights from the 60's. I am still looking for some more plastic flamingos that I can put a c-9 bulb into and illuminate. I still haven't figured out where I should place the Festivus pole.

Looks great, Louis! Having dealt with a few HOAs in my lifetime, I'm sure you'll piss them off.

On the Airstream display, does Santa open and close the door with some kind of motor? Or do you have to do that manually?
