Beware of Scam from Autozirkus

All beware. There is a scam on craigslist for a beautiful new 2014 Airstream Flying Cloud 23D for $20K. The craigslist seller directs you to www.autozirkus.com. It is a fake company, but the money they take from you is real. I almost bit, but finally figured it out before it was too late.

We lost $10,000 to Autozirkus this week when we thought we were purchasing a boat thru a craigslist seller. We have reported it to FBI, FTC, our bank, craigslist, put a block on my name thru credit bureaus, etc. We are having to change our bank acct numbers because they got our acct number when we had to send them proof that we sent the wire to their bank. I dont understand how so many people have reported these people & have their bank info, etc & yet nothing has been done. Why is the site still up? Its so frustrating!!!

Our advice is to never send more than a token deposit (and try to avoid that) without having seen the Airstream yourself, having a trusted independent 3rd party inspect it, or at a minimum dealing with a known-trustworthy seller like one of the established Airstream dealers. (I've inspected trailers for sale at dealerships for out-of-town buyers, any legitimate dealership is more than happy to have an inspection done to close a sale.)

ANY seller who tells you that you can't inspect the unit until after you paid should make you suspicious. It may be a unit with problems, or an imaginary unit.

Read our "Tips for Buyers" on the Classifieds.

Didn't anyone clue into the name of the company??? Autozirkus? as in Autocircus; as in PT Barnums famous saying that "there's a sucker born every minute".

NEVER send money without seeing the product in real life and the ownership; it's that simple. I don't care how crazy good the deal is; if it's too good to be true, it's a scam.

If something doesn't smell right or you want to make sure, Google key words of e-mails, text, phone calls or ad. For example Google, scam, shipping company, full refund, shipping included, escrow, Ebay protection, and see what comes up.

I hate these people who do these crimes. but they are very good at preying on peoples greed at getting a crazy deal of the century.

Cindy AL I hope you get your life back.

Cheers
Tony

Autozirkus is a FRAUD - BEWARE

Autozirkus is an elaborate fraud, be wary of anything on Craigslist, Ebay, etc., that directs you to Autozirkus Consignment. This is a highly organized and complex fraud and we were taken for $10,400 on October 14, 2016. Beware!

Fbi

Hi Guys
I'm a victim of Autozirkus. I'm encouraging all of you to file a complaint with the FBI and when you interview with them inform them that many complaints are being processed by other FBI offices. Feel free to email me if I can be of help.

A low price of 20k for a 2014 should be a clue it is a scam w/o any other info. Although someone may fall for it I guess.
