Best Fort Myers Beach parks

Does anyone have any experience with Fort Myers Beach area parks in the winter? Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you 😀

Not so much Ft. Myers, but in Sarasota, there is Sun-n-Fun. Very large and a lot to do.

We have traveled to South Florida a number of times in the winter. We have always found that campsites are difficult to come by as most are sewn up by snow birds way in advance.

We have have managed to squeeze in a few sites here and there. We have found that you pretty much have to take what you can get.

Some of the big snow bird campgrounds keep a few sites for overnighters. These sites may be limited to stays under a week.

There is one, and only one, RV park in Fort Myers Beach.
Florida Beachfront RV Resort | Waterfront RV Sites | Fort Myers Beach RV Resort | Beach Rental Homes | Red Coconut RV Park |

Good luck.

Ditto on the Good Luck. If you weren't in line a 11 months ago, you are probably out-a-luck.

We like Koreshan State Park at Estero, FL which is about 17 miles south of Fort Myers Beach. The interior roads are paved but the sites are dirt and tight. The preserved settlement from the late 1800's is interesting to visit and they have live music some Sundays during the winter months. The location is very good for beaches, dining and shopping. Today there is some availability for December and one site available the first few days of January.

Thanks for all of the great input. I figured this year would be tough to secure a spot, but will get a jump on next year. 68 Days til Christmas...... Yikes

You want first class? Try Crystal Lake RV Resort, which is in the Naples area. Okay, its not Ft. Myers Beach, but it's not that far away and about six miles from the beach. I stayed there when full-timing not that long ago so I can recommend the place personally. Use the link to checkout their website - Crystal Lake RV Resort - RV Resort in Naples, FL.

While on the topic of Naples, another really nice mixed use park is Silver Lakes. Really nice folks with it's own 9 hole golf course on site...........and you're only 10 minutes from Marco Island beaches.

Have stayed at Red Coconuts 2 times for 1 week each time. Tight sites and I have heard others complain about not being able to put out awning but I never had or saw others have issues. I would stay there again and would love to spend a whole winter season there.
