AS on TV

Depending on your cable connection, there is a History Channel show called "American Pickers" on tonight that features a sweet old dear.

there was a 73 on Pawn stars the other day. Someone had painted it grey so Rick advised the guy to donate it to get a tax receipt for it. Did anyone else see this unit? It was in Vegas.

I think the AS feature on The History Channel is around 8-9 pm, depending on time zones.

What did they do with the outside of that thing? It looked like they spray painted it silver. It definitely was not polished, but the patina didn't look natural. I usually watch American Pickers, but was disappointed in this episode.

Did they come back to the AS? I quit watching after the first 10 minutes when they dropped it off and left it. I was like, well...that was quick.

They ended up trading it for a vintage Indian motorcycle.

Not sure about the Indian being worth 25K, but 16k for the AS should go a long way to make those that hustle them for a buck salivate.

Sooo, was that a lowball price or was it high for a '48 in that condition? I'm not knowlegeable about these vintages, and would like to learn.
