Wow fun thread. I seem to have swallowed the anchor a few years ago.
And yes life aboard my 345 motorhome is somewhat like living aboard tevake only it doesn't narrow so much at the ends.

Tevake was my last sailboat, 45' tri, nice home afloat. Good passage maker too.
Easy 175 miles per day. Could go faster, but what's the hurry.
Sailed all over the South Pacific with tevake. But home based in Hawaii.

Interesting to find myself now based in Az.

Was deep into windsurfing for years.
And worked as a small boat charter captain all over Hawaii. But really enjoyed sharing the Na Pali coast of Kauai the most.

This all seems remote to me now but Im feeling the call once again. And this thread only adds to that calling.
Aloha fellow sailors!

Cheers Richard

I'll be there till early feb too. Let me know if this is your first visit there.
I'll PM you my ph #. To share tips.
It's been a weird year weather wise in the inslands, but pretty sure you will get to see some water falls pumping in feb.

Cheers Richard

Now a J22

We sailed our Cape George 31 in Canada, Alaska, and around NZ and Australia for a few years. Now on a lake in N Idaho with our J22. Guess we're just 22 folks; have a new 22FB.

Yes, we enjoy sailing. Our cruiser for the Bay is a Catalina 320. Our racer is a Millimeter. Plan is to enjoy sailing in the Winter and Summer, while enjoying travel in our AS in the Fall and Spring. Not a bad way to spend our retirement.

Somebody else with a Millimeter. Something you don't find very often. We also have an Illusion. I'm currently building cradles so I can carry both of them and launch from a single trailer.

Not a sailboat but I'm also working on a tandem Annapolis Wherry from Chesapeake Light Craft. I built it in a week long class and now I have several weeks of sanding and finish work.

There is just no end of things to occupy one's time.

SS - There seem to be quite a few around, but they are so easy to store that a lot are tucked away and don't get on the water much. It's a challenge to learn how to steer with your feet and handle all those control lines, but the boat is a lot of fun to sail and the local fleet is a fantastic supportive group of folks. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is the 8-12 that is now forecast. Pat

My sweet husband sailed for years-raced Ted Turner even- and one reason we bought our current airstream is that the interior looks like a boat... ( see the "my husband has trailer lust thread...")

Going to try fly fishing. But not giving up on sailing or golf just yet. But sailing that offshore stuff was something I swore off after the third day on the rail with a green face. Pat
