Annual Inspection changes (NY) Bummer

For the first time since I can remember I have to take my AS to a specialist to get it's annual inspection. I'm told that they need to put it up on a lift to inspect suspension and brakes... What? This I find out after hooking up and towing to local shop.. (where I go every year) only to find out they can't do the inspection because they don't a have a big enough lift! Drag it home I go... Thinking since there aren't any exterior stickers for inspection I might just "forget" to get it done...

Ugh, really? Make sure they know where the jack points are, and I'd be taking pictures of the belly pan and axle before..... There's a high likelihood of damage if they don't know Airstreams.

Exactly! That's why I'm hesitant to do it all... I'm having memory loss issues as we speak...did I already get the inspection...hmmm I don't remember... I must have...

Is this something new??? An annual state required inspection ????? Never heard of such a thing for a trailer, but then again you are in NYS. Good luck.
