Dan thanks for the heads up on Floydfest. What a lineup...and in a beautiful location. Will have to consider taking "Island Girl" to the concert. Has anyone attended the bluegrass festival held at Granite Hill campground in Gettysburg? Thanks!

I have not been to the Gettysburg festival, but it looks to be a pretty decent one. Here is the link:
May Festival | Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival
Ticket cost (advanced) is $110 for 4 days and camping (no hookups) is $15/day. They do have some strange requirements about no motorcycles allowed in the campground and no dogs larger than 30 lbs. I usually carry my motorcycle with me in the truck bed just because I can. Sometimes I ride it and some times I don't. The "no motorcycles" rule assumes that all motorcycles are loud and their riders loud and obnoxious as well. Anyhow I may go to this. A lot will depend on if I can go to Merlefest in late April. If I can go to Merlefest, then I will probably pass on going to the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival. I hope that you get to go there and maybe some other Airstreamers too.

Gettysburg Bluegrass @ Granite Hill Campground
Robert after watching that 9 year old play I'm ready to put my banjo down! Simply amazing...those kids are great! Here is the link to what looks to be a great bluegrass festival at a nice campground in historic Gettysburg: May Festival | Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival
There appears to be a great lineup of entertainment...including the Steel Canyon Rangers (not sure if Steve Martin will be present or not). There will also be a festival in August. Good stuff!

Those boys are really good. Thanks!
Steve Martin will probably not be with the Steep Canyon Rangers for the Gettysburg Festival. It is just not a large enough venue.
Ok. Everbody plays the Orange Blossom Special, but nobody plays it like the SCR with Nicky Sanders on the fiddle. Enjoy.

Hmm, never noticed that hose! We just got sprinklers put in last Fall so I'm hoping for a good lawn this year!
Also looks like that bird bath is hanging off my banjo - it isn't really, but some might say that in my case it could be a better use for the banjo!
Brian.

I am what Mark Twain called a gentleman banjo player. I know how to play the banjo and choose not to.
