We just arrived home from one of the trips we have wanted to do. We went up to the Keewanaw peninsula in upper Michigan. We camped right on Lake Superior and my husband took his dog out grouse hunting. We saw lots of drop dead beautiful scenery and visited some breweries. Great trip!!!!

well, I will no doubt develop such a list....but we went to maine for the first time last year and fell in love...I want to explore this state by AS one day for sure...

I would love to see more of the great lakes areas as well...

Just seeing pics of yellowstone I know it is a must for us...lake tahoe perhaps...glacier park...

It seems there are endless possibilities...

Ohhh, mine isn't that long. It will involve the Airstream, but not for the singleton list:
  • Raft the length of the Grand Canyon

One item down - I'm actually out of the driveway and full-timing!

Hot air balloon lift in the southwest (can't remember if it's Arizona or New Mexico - saving those brain cells for other items and I'll look it up)
Burning Man
Yellowstone
Attend a Tin Can Rally
Take a picture of my trailer with the northern lights reflecting off her

Those are the immediate desires.

I am really bummed....appointments for a tour and photos appear to be only on weekdays and I cannot swing the trip with my leave situation right now when mine hits the line

MAYBE if I could schedule for a friday visit, get up VERY early and drive up make it by mid day perhaps....then leave early saturday morning....8 hour trip each way I estimate....

Hmm, I am limited to quick trips at least for the next two years eleven months (countdown) but eventually:

Jackson Center
Northwest US Tour
Black Hills

Pharmgeek, I know what you mean about realizing the beauty of a state. This summer we were "all over" SC and it was a surprise to us who had only driven through it before. It basically took up my entire vacation but it was worth it. I want to get NORTH. Ironically my state is usually my only destination cause I am to far south but living here nearly all my life I like the trees and hills. We have tons of animals, water and bugs. A change is refreshing.

The short list, not in any particular order:

Grand Canyon
Route 66
Key West
Redwoods in California, and a stop in Napa
full time, anywhere!

Travelled most of the paved hiways in Colorado. Durango, Silverton, San Luis Valley, Bishops Castle, Steamboat Springs, Buena Vista and the Western Slope. Spent 4 days in Yuma two weekends ago in 105f heat, but had a good time.
Been to:
Bryce Canyon
Monument Valley
Moab
Crazy Horse
Mt. Rushmore
Yellowstone
Glacier NP
Vancouver, BC
Planning a trip from Nebraska to So. California in late November, figure it will be close to 3,000 miles.
Still working on the bucket list.

Don't count on parking an Airstream at the Fairgrounds for JazzFest, unless you're one of the musicians performing there. Make your reservations early for the French Quarter RV Park, and ride the shuttle to the Fairgrounds.

Anyway, my list (so far, more to be added as I think of them):
Natchez Trace;
Blue Ridge Parkway;
WBCCI International Rally;
Canopener 2015 (it will be my very first post-retirement rally!)

So far, since I've been an Airstream owner, I haven't camped in the same park twice, though there are a few I wouldn't mind going back to, when my imagination fails me and I can't think of a new place to go. With literally a hundred places to go even just within a one-day's travel radius of where I live, why would I ever want to go to someplace I've already been when someplace new still awaits?

I'll make an exception for recurring rallies, though, because then I'm going more for the people than the venue.

Alaska, Yosemite, and the state of Nevada.....the last of the lower 48 states to fill in our we-have-camped-here-in-the-Interstate map!

I can. One simply cannot measure the vast depths of my indifference toward Mexico's scenic beauty, which is no more scenic and no more beautiful than that of my native land. Well, aside from pre-Columbian pyramids that we don't have, but I've got no particular desire to caravan to those.

Meaning no offense to anyone from Mexico, of course. I don't hate Mexico, I'm just indifferent.
