The classic, beautiful aluminum connection is too obvious to bypass.
After 17 years of Microsoft, we gave iPhone a go in 2009, and MacBooks a try in 2010. Now there's only UNIX-based joy at home: Mac OS X and Linux.

MacBook Pro
Thanks, just noticed the similarity with skin. Never thought about it till you mentioned. I've been an apple since 1984, Mac & Lisa (1st 2 apples) are still in my barn. New to rehabbing a 1960 Safari while traveling the country.

Hubby likes Dell laptop. I LOVE our new MacBook Air. So fast. Lion feature takes some getting used to.

We became Mac users a year and a half ago. Believe it or not we have had one small hardware problem which was easily fixed. Otherwise no problems at all. We won't be going back to Windows....ever.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't turned into shell-on /shell-off style battle yet....
I would have been the middle ground.
I have learned that I don't have a preference. I used to be outspokenly against Macs computers due to the price premium for just design, but always used iphones since their release.
With the upgrade to the new Mac Air in terms of processor power and price, I couldn't withstand their size, weight, and beauty at the Apple store, and walked out with my first Mac computer a month ago. I love it, but run both Windows 7 and OS lion on it about 50/50 depending on what I am doing. They both have merits. I am very excited for Windows 8, which is the first real redesign by Microsoft in over 10 years.

4.5 year old MacBook Pro which has never crashed, nor been upgraded with anything other than the automatic stuff Apple sends out. I only turn it off when getting on a plane. iPad 1 (which got stolen) and replaced with iPad2. iPhone 3GS and a couple of iPods. So I guess our vote is for Mac.

Anyone heard of an Apple IIc (my first computer). Then, I went dark for many years, as Windows was always the corporate standard. It wasn't until we bought our first iphones that my interest in Apple was renewed. My home office now has a brand new 27" iMac running Lion, an iPad2, a Windows 7 laptop, and you're going to laugh....the machine that I am typing this on: a Pentium D Dell Dimension tower running XP. I keep this old one around because.....hey, I'm retired and don't want to upgrade some of the graphics software/periperals that still work great on this system.

Hi, PC. Right now, for home use, and our travels, a Mac's benefits don't out weigh the price difference.

Purchased a Mac for my daughter last year, but stayed with PC because of the expensive programs I had purchased for my computer.
I bought my daughter an iPhone when Verizon acquired the Apple contract.
I switched phones with my daughter for awhile and am absolutely hooked on the iPhone. I love it!
Am tempted to get myself a Mac when my PC finally croakes, but it will be difficult to give up my Microsoft programs.

You can operate Windows on a Mac, so you don't have to give up your Windows based software.

Mac, Mac, and Mac. That's a Macbook for me, one for my hubby, and one home desktop Mac. LOVE them. We both have gradually converted in the last 3 years from PC.
