VISTA chased us away!

From the late 80's to '93 we were a MAC household...then we went PC. Last month we switched back to MAC big time.

2 - iPhones 3G
1 - iMac
1 - MacBook Pro (silver, of course!)
and we already had 2 - iPods a 80GB & a Nano

Lovin' it!

Shari

I have a 24" iMac at home, Macbook Air for the road (matches my AS nicely, but not purchased for that reason).

I have another Macbook that I haven't got around to selling, and my wife uses another Macbook for her consulting business.

I also have a 4 year old Dell PC at home that I keep around to run some of the strategy games that I love. I'm actually looking to replace that with a cheap gaming laptop. I can't justify the expense of a MacBook Pro just to run games, but the Air and normal Macbooks lack a graphics accellerator.

I'm guessing that Mac owners are more enthusiastic about their computers because they are fun to use, more intuitive, and it's so easy to produce "cool stuff" with less frustration. Mac users are also more likely to respond to surveys because Apple has one of the highest fan loyalty ratings in the industry.

If you wait a few weeks Apple is coming out with their updated Macbook line. All of the new Macbooks will have the metal casing that you see on the Mac Pro and the Macbook Air. The rumor is they will be slimmer and lighter too. That is what I would do unless you have the extra cash to but the Macbook Pro.

Airstreamers do you use a Mac or PC ????

Initially, I was an Apple/MAC person, but after being burned twice, I will not return. First, I purchased an Apple IIgs (nearly $1,400) which was promptly discontinued less than a year later -- very little 3rd party software support with very little more support from Apple. Second, purchased a Powerbook 140 (a nearly $3,000 expenditure) which only lasted 1.5 years before the motherboard shorted out and Apple wouldn't cover it under warranty despite the fact that it was their power cord/converter setup that was the root cause of the issue. Rather than throw good money after bad, I went to the PC world and have no intentions of returning to the MAC world.

Mac attack.......

Man the Mac is where it is at. An Apple a day keeps all the bugs away. I have a black Macbook and a 24" iMac at home. they are sooooo easy to use and very dependable. Never had a bug!

I bought my wife a HP Pavilion notebook last year for Christmas and was so impressed with its performance that I bought my HP dv9000 this year. Both have Vista, of course, and we have had no problems with either. Naturally, we don't use either for production use like we use our computers at work, but we are satisfied with both...now if Ft. Wilderness would just install free wi-fi like most campgrounds.

On my second MacBook Pro/Powerbook. Laptop. One my second iPod. Two Apple Tv's. No iPhone but I want and Mac Mini. A nice loaded 8 core Mac Pro would be nice.

Every PC with Vista that comes to my company gets a copy of XP burned over the top of it...

Well......there WAS Windows 98Me......I think it was worse!

My son the computer geek always says not to upgrade to the new OS until the first service pack upgrade is available....which fixes the worst bugs, I guess. He was also the one who suggested I try a Mac.... He now works in Redmond....guess where!
