Would you introduce yourself to this guy? It was a little scary taking this pic thinking he might be looking out those dark windows.

We've done a lot of camping and I have never seen that one before. Anyone that feels that it is necessary to display such a sign on an RV is someone that I would not want to meet anyway.

I'd leave that one all alone! He/she clearly has issues.

Is that an Angry Bird clipped to the awning support arm? Never mess with a person that has an Angry Bird clipped to their awning support arm... Those people are crazy.

How odd.

Maybe s/he is some super famous recluse type,
and doesn't want to be bothered by all the paparazzi
that hang out in campgrounds...

Well it is a bit scary. I was doing laundry next door to his trailer. While in the laundry room he opened the door and asked how long I would be while walking his Pitbull. Marine decal and flag out. Guess life has been a little tough. I came back to our trailer and asked for a bloody mary please?

If I may be serious for a moment

There was a situation at a recent NASCAR event,
where a thief would stroll into RV's and lift whatever was in plain view.

If it were occupied, he would use a good Samaritan act and show the occupants a cell phone, pretending to have found it outside the coach, and ask if it were theirs.

"No?, OK somebody else must have dropped it... bye". Then on to some other unsuspecting, or empty camper.

From what I understand, he was very successful at ripping off a lot of campers; and got away with it, even after the police were called.

My blood sugar is a little low, so bear with me... but, maybe walking into somebody's RV isn't illegal without some sort of 'posting'?

Why are you taking pictures of me? Do I come over to your camper and take pictures of you?

That may be the case. As I know it in the state of Virginia, your vehicle is property, and thus someone smashing it, is property damage, someone stealing it is theft, but loitering on it or in it has never been made a crime.

I was made aware of this in a self defense course discussing road rage, that if someone got out of their truck and started smashing my car with a crow bar or bat, any action taken against that person from inside my car would be considered by Virginia a crime. I could not act to defend myself or my property until they came thru a window or tried to enter the vehicle. Only then did the state recognize my right to defend myself.

I have to admit, I'm very lax when it comes to security while in a campground... Had some beer stolen from my cooler overnight at the beach once, but other than that, have never had an issue. I actually left my cell phone on the picnic table at a campground once, and about an hour up the road, my wife got a call from my cell phone. The dude that found it mailed it to my house. That's the type people I normally meet when camping. I hope dirtbags don't catch on to this and start ruining my camping experience...

-Red, wishing for a more innocent world....

If that was a Classic you could ring the door bell and then run.

I'd say this is why all states should have 'stand your ground' law... looks like VA is a mix of 'duty to retreat' and 'castle doctrine'

Maybe they wanted a " DO NOT DISTURB " sign but this was all they could get.
