Airstream Repairs in NC

Hello,

Our 2017 Airstream Sport 22FB is nearing the end of its warranty. We have not been pleased at all with the Service Department at our dealership !! We were wondering if anyone out there has found someone good to work on your AS in the North Carolina area?

Many in our WBCCI unit swear by Out of Doors Mart. I have personal experience with Capitol City Customs. Both are slammed right now. CCC is my choice but they are a small shop you might have better luck getting in Out of Doors Mart.

We have had repairs done at both Out of Doors Mart and Capital City Customs (CCC) of Raleigh. They both do good work. Out of Doors Mart has done more warranty work for us. Capital City Customs has done both customization work for us and system work. We have had CCC replace foam in our couch cushions with a better grade and more comfortable foam, and also build custom shelves with lighting in our rear closets on either side of the queen bed. They have also done system work such as installing our multi-stage converter and extra fans to help the cooling in the refrigerator. It might be a wait to get on the list of CCC but Dan, the owner, is a perfectionist. He grew up in the NASCAR circuit and has in house cabinet building, upholstery, and sheet metal fabrication in his shop. He is extremely mechanically minded and always has great ideas and suggestions.

Thanks so much for your replies. Unfortunately we purchased our AS from OODM & have had several issues with the unit itself & haven't been happy with the Service Dept there. We will definitely keep CCC in mind for any other issues that hopefully don't come up!!

If you call Jackson Center and ask, I think they will provide you with other authorized Airstream warranty sites that can do the work other than the "Airstream" dealer you don't like.

If you are willing to drive to TN you might call Bill Dodson. His hourly rate is $90 per hour, whereas Jackson Center is $125/hr and CCC is $130/hr.

I too had some issues with OODM, but trying to be fair since so many of my fellow Unit members speak highly of them. My issues were with the sales department and I've never had to have any service done there. If you are out of warranty, I recommend Complete RV in Denver, NC. Another perfectionist with a small shop but quality work. They've done a lot of Airstream work.

I'm really surprised at this statement!!!!
I've been dealing with ODM for more than 25 years. Other than being a customer, I am not affiliated with them in any way, nor do I have a personal relationship with any of the employees.
They have done things to my trailers when I did not have the skill or time to do the task myself.
My experience has been; they do what they say they will and do it right.

I suggest trying again. Maybe someone was having a bad day or they have a new technician.
