A great high end glossy ode to Airstreams and their impact on art, life style, food, history, design and travel.
Not a 'how to' but a 'why to' mag. Have been there from the start, Rich used to live in Vermont.

Like it - we got the subscription as a gift from my son; competes for time and attention like other things, but it is well done.

It is a nice magazine with well written articles. It is slanted more toward newer A/S's than vintage but there are good vintage articles as well.

You might consider joining the Wally Byam Airstream Club aka WBCCI for $95 per year. Membership includes the Blue Beret magazine which has rally, travel and technical information. You do not have to join a local club to be a member at large.

If you are interested in vintage Airstreams, the WBAC has the Vintage intra club for another $20 which gets you a quarterly Vintage magazine and taps you into all the vintage activities around the US and a wealth of technical info.

Airstream "Life is good"

I wish it was a monthly! Can't wait to get it then read it cover to cover in one day then have to wait what seems like forever for the next edition! Buy it, you'll like it.

I have the first two+ years. Liked it OK but finally decided I wasn't getting good value for the investment. YMMV.

You did not mention if you were becoming a first time RV owner. If so, then this information source might be valuable to you:

AS Life

Yes! I love reading the forum but it was Airstream Life mag that has the excellent photos and interesting Airstream trailer projects. Well done Rich!

Just got latest copy. I'm looking at that retrofit kit for the awning. Pretty $$$ though. Anyway magazine is a good way to keep up.

All new Airstream trailers come with the Newbies Guide in the owner's bag of manuals. If you get a new Airstream, probably a better, non-duplicating purchase would be the Nearly Complete Guide to Airstream Maintenance.

Have been a subscriber since day 1 and always enjoy reading the articles. The quality of the paper is excellent. I am hesitating on renewing given we Canadians have to pay 35% more than our American Brothers and Sisters. Would love to see a reduction in the cost. For a new owner a great magazine, for the long time owner not as much.

I know you're referring to the 35% exchange rate, but it's actually the only US magazine I know of that is delivered to Canadian addresses for the same as to US addresses, so I consider it to be a good deal.

First year subscription came automatically with the purchase of our Bambi, so if you buy a new AS wait awhile before subscribing to avoid duplication. We didn't renew but probably would have if it was a bi-monthly or monthly. Four issues/yr just didn't seem worth it to us.
