The trouble with changing the basic floor plans is that weight has to be clustered over the axles and even on both sides. When Airstream tried some models with heavy rear ends without significantly strengthening the trailer, rear end sag occurred (a problem many people develop over time too). I agree they could be more creative, but they seem to be only interested in window dressing.
