Unfortunately, no actual details are available yet on the Land Yacht. We do know that the MSRP will be around $150k and production will start later this year in July/August. You can find your nearest dealer on airstream.com. Please contact them and make them aware of your interest so they can get you better details as they come about.

Thank you for your interest in Airstream.

$150k sure makes an International seem like a bargain.

Prototype at Palm Springs Modernist Show

Just chiming in. Saw the prototype in Palm Springs 6/7 weeks ago. Some nice finishing on the cabinets, floors, and overheads. Very updated hardware. I like the layout.

Unfortunately the model had been severely looked at, and was held together with tape, and a number of items were afterthoughts.

Hoping the finished production model is better quality controlled.

OH, the floors, amazing, especially if you have no intention of every walking on them. They looked great.

150K. How would you like to pay that and then start finding filiform corrosion everywhere you look? Wonder if they've taken any steps to try and prevent that?

I wonder if it will leak like many of the heavy flexing classics. I guess w/o the leaks it would not truly be an A/S.

But in this case the teak wood floors should stand up better to water intrusion.

Cool....

For $150K, couldn't you get Timeless Travel to build you exactly what you wanted on a new shell? I like the Land Yacht interior design, but would definitely want some quality upgrades like Gene and others have pointed out. I would have no need for AC, a television, microwave, or that other plug in stuff, but I do like good design. Is a Timeless Travel Trailer more expensive than $150 K?

I think Timeless price begins at $100K and you supply the trailer. So, it might be more or less than $150K depending on the donor cost.

I was recently in Rancho Mirage, and since I come from "hillbillie country", I was astounded at the number of people cruising the boulevards in Bentleys and Masserati and other very exotic and super expensive cars. $150K is out of my budget for a trailer, but for people who buy $400 bottles of champagne for dinner and drive exotic cars and manage hedge funds, it's probably an insignificant price. And so I think what makes the Land Yacht good for us all is that it brings a lot of brand prestige and recognition (not to mention income) to AS and might pay for better tooling, better engineers, better production techniques and so on for all the rest of us.

I'd rather see them putting out a $150K trailer than trying to introduce a $20k trailer to compete with the SOBs.

My prediction is that this will be a marginal success at best - if at all. There are not many people who are going to pay this much money for a trailer - if they can afford this they'll likely go the motorhome route. This may well end up being another Airstream loser like the Base Camp, Pan America, Victorinox Special Edition Bambi, and the Avenue.

$150,000 for a showoff RV is pocket change these days, and may fit a down-sizing market that has already started.

This is a retro man-cave for Golden Days of Hollywood crowd. Where's my Navy blue blazer, tan pants, ascot, and yacht cap? And the thin mustache.

It better have deployable floats and a propeller for water use...

Why not something patterned after a classic yacht interior?
