I don't like it any better than any other Airstream I have seen.
Interesting article. Thanks.

Truck Mfg's Ad's all shown towing Airstream Trailerss

Seems like their all getting on the AS bandwagon!! Truck sales are very lucrative to the automakers bottom-line!

I've seen this pic and it goes with a test drive (favorable) of the 2014 GMC Sierra towing a 23' AS. Two iterating points - the full story showed a side view & it appeared that the 23' had two A/C units plus it appears to have a power awning!

It's from the GMC Trailering Academy event last week. If you google this; you'll find a couple of videos of the event.

Youtube Video

First time I've ever seen so many Airstreams in one place (other than the dealership, of course)!

very cool...unfortunately the tongue weight of my new AS on order will make for pulling it with a bicycle rather difficult

A friend who's in Huron sent me that link earlier. I can't figure out why the reporter from the BBC persists in calling them motorhomes, when they didn't show any motorhomes on camera! Isn't "caravan" a perfectly normal British word to describe a travel trailer?

Indeed, I think the reporter was, like so many of these young reporters these days, woefully ignorant of her subject; in this case, of the terminology. A motorhome in the UK is the same as it is in North America but Travel Trailer becomes Caravan, as you say.

We have "tow bar" for hitch, too, and probably loads of other differences that I can't think of right now

I think you are all missing the point, and being a bit too critical of the reporter -- it is great international coverage for Airstream, and the spirit of adventure that Wally Byam left for us all.

Airstream, and its owners are painted in a good light.

From my British perspective it's disappointing that the reporter was confused about the terminology but yes, great airtime for Airstream in the UK and around the world.

Reporters are rarely experts by any means - they commonly foul up - pretty much anything about medicine they butcher for example -

Ill forgive them for the Moho error
