I find my bed a little hard at time; it's the plywood "boxspring." An egg-crate foamie would help.

I don't know if all the classic models have a upgrade mattress, however ours came with an innerspring mattress that is fairly comfortable. I still miss our sleep number bed though. I see they now make a Sleep number mattress for RVs, but the pump motor is still 115VAC powered. That part seems silly. I guess I'll just have to rough it.

Will get to the local Wally World and look for egg-crate foam pad for the motorhome. Maybe, just maybe, I'll try again next weekend for a sleep-over in Airstream.

Here is our cozy queen bed in the rear of our '97 25' Safari. It has an insulite foam pad and is very comfortable.
