A Memorial Day Tribute To Fallen Vets

I am very proud to attach a Youtube tribute to Memorial Day with a speech from my Uncle Lawrence Snowden, Lt. General USMC, Retired from his speech last year in Tallahassee. A great man, IMHO. I hope you enjoy.

I really like his plain explanation of the holidays focused on those that serve(d). He also brings up a good discussion of death and how we face it- with mourning AND celebration. The impact others have in our lives and how we remember them and for what they died for, like Boots. We have a lot to consider in this country. Sadly many have lost the perspective of not only what it means to have Memorial Day but also what it means to be American- not perfect but strongly defending personal freedoms and helping those less fortunate when called to do so. No one likes fighting of any kind, for sure! Thank you for sharing Pappy19.
