A/C cooling in Florida-Newbie question

Hello. I am a major newbie, just bought a ’62 Tradewind. This was on a whim and I really know nothing about them other than I thought it looked cool and was cheap. I am considering gutting the interior and making it an mobile office, but I have questions about the A/C.

I live in Florida, even with a new A/C system, is it even possible to keep this climate controlled during the summertime? Will the aluminum material heat it up to the point where it won’t be bearable during the summer months.

The place I am planning to park it will not have shade after about 11 Am, so will that be a problem in keeping it cool?

Anything else I should know about keeping it cold inside

If you buy a 15k BTU a/c and run it all the time, it will keep up. Shut it off for a day while you are gone to save money and it will heat soak and take forever to catch up.

You'll be fine. I live in SW Florida and the single 13.5 cools my 30 and 31 footers just fine.

Just don't come to Texas in the summer. When it's 100 deg and 80% humidity you could use 3 units!

My 25' trailer did fine with an 11,000 BTU AC unit in central Florida. I recommend some kind of a fabric wall and ceiling covering rather than the plain aluminum that is popular in the current generation of Airstreams.

I've seen several trailers with the top painted white. They claim it makes several degrees difference.
